In an age where our digital screens have become windows to the world, it’s kinda mind-blowing how much of what we see is, well, just plain negative. We’re talking men and women throwing shade at each other, the 1% versus those of us, you know, not in the yacht club, and all the other fun stuff like race, age, orientation… you get the usual suspects. It’s like the internet turned into this weird reality show, and spoiler alert—nobody’s coming out looking too good.
Now here’s the thing, as social media turns into this endless parade of negativity, we gotta stop and think—what exactly are we absorbing here? Our brains weren’t built to be sorting through millions, heck, trillions of images and messages every day. I mean, do you really want your mind to turn into a glorified storage unit for digital trash? What happens when your own thoughts start getting all mucked up with the endless negativity?
Enter Saturn in Aries—no better time to take a step back. We’re talking about a cosmic boot camp for self-control. But here’s a thought, with all this social engineering, are we even in control anymore, or are we just cogs in a massive, negative social machine?
Can you feel it too? This shift towards not just consuming but being consumed by what we see online?
I look around at social media world, which is arguably, “the world” in this day an age. It’s overwhelmingly negative.
Men turned on women, women turned on men. The rich vs the poor, race stuff, age / generation stuff. Sexuality. Gender. Virtually everything you read or see, degrades someone(s).
When you consume this.. well, you are what you eat. I’ve come to understand, if you view something, even if you are discerning, the image or the message or the whatever, still penetrates and becomes part of you. As a sentient being, you absorb it.
Think about having to sort a million images? How about ten million or one hundred million? How about a trillion images? I don’t think we’re designed for such a thing. The flood of content overwhelms the human brain.
Er… do you want to become a computer? Is that even possible?
Few would choose to wade into an ocean full of trash, yet her we are, swimming in negativity, all day, every day.
Saturn is headed for Aries – time for self-control! Take control or be controlled.
