So, imagine this: the Beckhams are throwing not one, not two, but three shindigs to celebrate David — from sunny Miami all the way to posh London — and Brooklyn plus Nicola decide to ghost every single one. Awkward, right? Now, here’s the kicker: normally, David’s the king of the Instagram nods when a fam member’s MIA (he practically sends a search party in the captions). But this time? Radio silence on Brooklyn and Nicola’s no-shows. Could Mercury in retrograde be messing with their communication lines, or is it just some old-fashioned family drama bubbling under the surface? A source spills there’s definitely tension but insists it’s not game over yet — which makes me wonder if this is just a temporary celestial hiccup or the calm before a bigger storm. Either way, the Beckhams are feeling the sting, hurt that their eldest is pulling a disappearing act. Now, where’s my popcorn? LEARN MORE
It didn’t go unnoticed by the family’s millions of followers that Brooklyn and Nicola skipped not one, but all three of David’s celebrations, with the first taking place in Miami at the end of March, and the last two in London in early May.
David shared photos from each of his parties on Instagram, including photos with Victoria and their other three children: 22-year-old Romeo, 20-year-old Cruz, and 13-year-old Harper.
If you’ve been following the Beckhams on social media over the years, you’ll have noticed that whenever they post a family photo without one of their kids, they’ll make a point of acknowledging their absence in the caption, as seen here and here. Notably, David made no mention of Brooklyn and Nicola’s repeated absences this time around.
“There are tensions between Brooklyn and Nicola and the family,” a source later told People, before insisting that “the relationship is definitely not beyond repair.”
The insider also said that the couple had been invited to David’s celebrations but chose not to come. According to the source, the Beckhams “love and are always there for” Brooklyn, but are “hurt and disappointed that he’s now playing no part in family life.”
