So, Chris Noth — you know, Mr. Big himself — decided to stir the pot just as Sarah Jessica Parker was basking in the spotlight with her honorary Golden Globes nod for her iconic TV role. Timing, darling, is everything, especially under January’s Aquarius vibe, where unexpected truths bubble up like a cosmic lightbulb moment. Now, Noth’s cheeky Instagram jab at SJP’s win set tongues wagging and reminded us all that even former on-screen soulmates can’t always keep it classy off camera. But here’s the kicker: he’s now walking back that snarky comment, calling it a “tempest in a teapot.” Hmmm… Isn’t it fascinating how the stars nudge us to reconsider our words when the spotlight’s glare gets a little too hot? Buckle up — this modern-day Carrie and Mr. Big saga isn’t just a blast from the past; it’s a reminder that in both Hollywood and horoscopes, the drama never really sets. LEARN MORE
Chris Noth, Sarah Jessica Parker’s former long-time Sex and the City on-screen spouse, has walked back a cutting dig he made on Instagram about his co-star’s Golden Globes win.
Parker picked up an honorary award for her contribution to TV, having starred as Carrie Bradshaw in all 94 episodes of the TV show and another 33 of the follow up series And Just Like That.
Noth played ‘Mr Big’ throughout Sex and the City as well as the sequel show, with his character and Carrie dating on and off throughout, and eventually marrying.
The pair have reportedly not spoken since December 2021 when The Hollywood Reporter publicised allegations of sexual assault against Noth by two separate women.
Parker signed a joint statement from the cast of the show praising the courage of the women who came forward, saying: “We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”

After Parker won the Carol Burnett award at a pre-Golden Globes on January 6, an honorary award dedicated to people who made ‘outstanding contributions’ to TV, Noth took to Instagram and fired a shot at Parker.
Noth posted a picture of himself in the gym on January 9 with the caption: “F&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!”
One fan commented asking: “You mean f**k SJP and her award right? Lol,” with Noth responding with his own comment simply saying: “Right”.
Many took this as a pointed dig at Parker, particularly in light of the split between the pair.
The actor has since clarified what he meant by this, posting a caption on Instagram accompanied by a headshot of himself.

He said: “My off the cuff slightly sarcastic response to a comment on the internet seems to have caused a tempest in a teapot.
“It is not news. It is not worth all this discussion. It is a waste of time in a world where there are more important things to worry about.”
Noth has previously denied allegations made against him from women who claim he sexually assaulted them in 2004 in Los Angeles and in 2015 in New York City.
The actor called them ‘categorically false’ and claimed his encounters with both were consensual.
Noth’s character Mr Big died in the opening episode of And Just Like That… with the allegations coming to light just under a couple of weeks later.
Mr Big was edited out of the finale of the show as a result.
Parker has not spoken about the allegations against him at any length, telling The Hollywood Reporter in May of 2022 that she ‘wasn’t ready’ to talk about them when asked.
When asked if she was still in contact with Noth she simply replied: “No.”
