Is it just me, or does the cosmos seem to be conspiring in Coldplay’s favor right now? Whatever the revelation, as the stars align for Coldplay’s final Wembley performance on September 12—now rescheduled due to those pesky tube strikes—it feels like a celestial event worthy of more than just your average concert night. Coldplay fans are making a last-minute dash for Wembley tickets after Chris Martin teased a ‘huge announcement’ at his latest gig.
In case you missed it, the Yellow hitmakers performed their penultimate London show on Friday, September 6.
According to those in the crowd, frontman Chris Martin teased a surprise announcement, ahead of their final Wembley show date on Friday, September 12 (buy tickets on Seat Unique here).
On Reddit, one fan wrote, “Went to the show last night – surprise 18th wedding anniversary pressie for my wife. Blew us both away. Just staggering. Awe-inspiring.
“Anyway, Chris mentioned they were about to make a big announcement, something they’ve been working on for a number of years, and we were the first people to hear about it. But no detail. Anyone got a hunch? I’m thinking a new show along the lines of Abba Voyage – holograms, avatars etc. Thoughts?”
A second fan guessed, “The next album is more of a full-length musical, but Chris has said before it’s been a long piece of work, particularly the visual companion work. Trying something very different.”

A third agreed, as they added: “The musical – it’s MOTS part three. It also probably dates back to MX and the wedding album, as MX was supposed to have a film made for it and a lot of MOTS reuses the lore from MX…”
Another fan believes it’s a film, not a musical record. “Clearly, it’s the Music of the Spheres movie,” they said. “Or the continuation of the Mylo Xyloto story, as a movie too. I think they need to take a break to work on the film’s soundtrack.”
Whatever it may be, fans are keen to find out, and that means securing tickets for Coldplay’s final Wembley gig on Friday, September 12 – which had to be rescheduled due to London tube strikes.

According to multiple online reports, Astronomer CEO Kristin Cabot has filed for divorce from husband Andrew Cabot, following the viral kiss cam moment.
On July 15, Cabot was spotted in an embrace with married chief executive of Astronomer, Andy Byron, on the jumbotron at a Coldplay concert.
The pair quickly hid from the camera, which led Chris Martin to joke that the pair were having an affair, which sparked widespread rumours online.
Three days after the viral event, Byron resigned, quickly followed by Cabot.
