Ever wonder if Mercury’s notorious retrograde could extend its mischief beyond missed texts and email glitches? Well, last week’s Coldplay concert in the US might just be a cosmic case study. Picture this: Astronomer’s CEO Andy Byron caught on the jumbotron with arms wrapped around Kristen Cabot, the company’s head of HR—not his wife—and their embarrassed scramble offstage sparked a wildfire of online buzz. The internet, of course, sharpened its detective claws, turning the mishap into a meme spectacle and, ultimately, Byron’s resignation. Meanwhile, Coldplay’s own Chris Martin didn’t miss a beat—quipping to the Nashville crowd to “do your makeup” before the big screen spotlight struck, a sly nod to potential gig-side exposures. As we navigate the twists of human foibles and celestial nudges, one might ask: when the stars seem aligned for drama, is it really fate—or just some seriously bad timing? Dive into the full story and all the juicy planetary implications right here. LEARN MORE.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin made an incredible comment at a gig in Nashville last night as the internet continues to go wild for a video of an alleged affair at a previous gig.
Last week, the jumbotron at one of the British band’s gigs in the US captured Astronomer CEO Andy Byron with his arms wrapped around a woman, but when they spotted themselves on screen, they quickly jumped down and looked incredibly embarrassed.
The internet was quick to establish their identities, and if their bizarre reaction hadn’t made it obvious already, the woman in his arms was not his wife but in fact, the head of HR at Astronomer, Kristen Cabot.
The clip quickly went viral and has become something of a meme across the world, with Mr Byron’s misadventure of a lifetime leading him to resign from his position at Astronomer.

“Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted,” the company said in a statement at the weekend.
“The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO.
“Before this week, we were known as a pioneer in the DataOps space, helping data teams power everything from modern analytics to production AI. While awareness of our company may have changed overnight, our product and our work for our customers have not. We’re continuing to do what we do best: helping our customers with their toughest data and AI problems.”
Even during his performance, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin had the time to make a joke of the two having an affair, and after that seemingly proved to be true, the 48-year-old has now been warning others in the crowd about what could happen at the gig.
He joked during last night’s (20 July) performance: “We would like to say hello to some of you in the crowd. How we are going to do that is, we’re going to use our cameras and put some of you on the big screen.
“So if you haven’t done your makeup, do your makeup now.”
It’s highly likely that the duo, who are both yet to speak out publicly, will be seriously regretting being caught on the camera at the Coldplay show.
While it is always good to enjoy life, or Viva la Vida if you will, cheating – which is what they’re alleged to have been doing – is never a good idea, and it seems as if karma came back to bite Mr Byron on this occasion.
At first, the internet thought they’d identified another woman in the TikTok video who looked equally embarrassed, but Astronomer were quick to shut down any rumours that a third employee had attended the gig.
Meanwhile, the woman who filmed the initial video shared her brutal response to the controversy in an interview with LADbible.
