Candace Cameron Bure Claims Scary Movies Are “Demonic Portals” — But Is She Just Protecting Her Family, Or Warning Us All?

So, here we are in the cosmic chaos of today’s skies—Mercury’s pulling its usual tricks, stirring up all sorts of communication confusions—when along comes Candace Cameron Bure with a declaration that’s got me raising an eyebrow higher than a Scorpio in retrograde. This former Hallmark darling and steadfast Christian isn’t just avoiding scary movies; she’s convinced they’re literal portals to “incredibly demonic” realms. Yep, you read that right—those spine-chilling scenes? According to her, they might just be letting evil sneak right into her living room. Now, if you’re a starry-eyed astrology fan like me, you have to wonder—could the stars be nudging us to pay attention to what kind of energy we’re inviting in? Or is Candace just the ultimate cosmic doorkeeper? Buckle up, because this takes horror flicks to a whole new level of spooky! LEARN MORE.

Candace Cameron Says Scary Movies Open Portals To Evil

No scary movies will be watched under Candace Cameron Bure’s roof.

That’s because the former Hallmark star, who is Christian, believes they’re “incredibly demonic” and can be a “portal” to something evil.

Candace shared her hot take about horror films during a recent episode of The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast. She said, “You’re opening up a portal. Like, if you’re watching this, or you’re playing this video game, or whatever, that’s a portal that could let stuff inside our home.”

Candace’s family, which includes husband Valeri Bure and kids, Natasha, 26, Lev, 25, and Maksim, 23, seems to disagree as Candace said they “make fun of [her] all the time” for her beliefs. Still, she’s convinced that watching scary movies can lead to “spiritual thing[s] happening” inside the house.

Candace, who has appeared in dozens of movie and TV projects, including Full House and its Fuller House spinoff, added that while she understands it’s technically not real, she believes that “demonic” things can happen when a film is being made.

“Listen, I’m in the film industry,” she noted. “I understand how it all works. I know that movie, specifically, has a crew of 200 people, and they’re lighting it, and they’re adding the sound effects, and it’s makeup, and camera people and actors. However, there’s still something that can be incredibly demonic while they’ve made it.”

Well then! What do you think of Candace’s remarks? Do you watch scary movies at home? I’ll personally watch anything as long as it’s not paranormal, but tell me what you think in the comments.
