Added on February 4, 2026 inCelebrity News Cards

Family drama is nothing new under Mercury’s retrograde chaos, but when Brooklyn Beckham’s billionaire father-in-law steps into the spotlight amid a seismic family rift, you know the stars must be having a field day. Nelson Peltz — the 83-year-old American investor with nerves of steel — has finally broken his silence on the Beckhams’ tangle of grievances that exploded last month on Instagram like a cosmic flare. Nicola Peltz, married to Brooklyn since 2022, reportedly never got the royal welcome one might expect, culminating in allegations as spicy as a Leo’s roar: from a hijacked first dance featuring Victoria Beckham to Brooklyn’s vow to go full-on no contact with his own kin. Amid all this celestial upheaval, Nelson dropped a surprisingly grounded note about their future, hinting that even in the eye of family storms, sometimes, advice gets traded like rare tarot cards. Is this just another cosmic blip in the Beckham-Peltz constellation, or the start of a new zodiac saga? Strap in — this one’s destined to keep spinning. LEARN MORE.

Brooklyn Beckham’s billionaire father-in-law has spoken out on the huge family split affecting his daughter and her husband.

Nelson Peltz, an 83-year-old businessman and investor from the US, was asked about the significant drama involving the Beckhams, which came to a head last month when eldest son Brooklyn took to Instagram to publicly air his grievances.

It’s long been reported that Nelson’s daughter Nicola, who married Brooklyn back in 2022, wasn’t exactly given a warm reception by her new in-laws, something that her spouse mentioned in his bombshell claims last month.

Perhaps the biggest shock was that Victoria Beckham allegedly hijacked their first dance together as a married couple, something the wedding DJ has since spoken out on, and now the 26-year-old has made it clear that he’s going no contact with his blood relatives for the long term.

Now, Nelson has had his say on proceedings after being quizzed at a Q&A event weeks on from his son-in-law speaking out following years of rumours about what was going on behind-the-scenes.

Although he initially suggested that it was a ‘whole other story’ and wasn’t ‘for coverage here today’ at the event, he did speak out about their future together.

He told WSJ Invest Live in West Palm Beach: “I’ll tell you my daughter is great, my son-in-law Brooklyn is great and I look forward to them having a long, happy marriage together.”

Amid the ongoing drama, he was also asked if he gave them any advice to navigate tough situations, replying: “I do. Sometimes they give me advice.”

David Beckham was more veiled in his response in his first public appearance after the explosive claims first surfaced, with his first-born child confidently suggesting that his parents have long ‘controlled the narrative’ through ‘performative social media posts’.

Brooklyn wrote: “My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.

“My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.

“Weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children.

“They were adamant on me signing before my wedding date because then the terms of the deal would be initiated. My holdout affected the payday, and they have never treated me the same since.

“During the wedding planning, my mum went so far as to call me ‘evil’ because Nicola and I chose to include my Nanny Sandra, and Nicola’s Naunni at our table, because they both didn’t have their husbands.

“Both of our parents had their own tables equally adjacent to ours.”
