Actresses Nicole Kidman and Salma Hayek shocked fans over the weekend after a video surfaced, featuring the duo appearing to be cross with each other at the Balenciaga show on September 30th.

The Blast previously reported that the duo were spotted on video seemingly having a tense conversation. After words were exchanged from the “Perfect Couple” actress to Hayek the two women posed for paparazzi photos, and the atmosphere appeared to grow tense between the duo. Katy Perry also appeared alongside them in the paparazzi line.

The moment in question was captured on film and began to circulate on social media. In the video, the “Babygirl” actress is seen facing the “Fools Rush In” star before Hayek slowly turns Kidman around to face the paparazzi. Photographers can be heard asking the actresses “one more [photo] please.”

Kidman can be seen talking while turning around, and the actress is seen gently moving Hayek’s hand away from her body. The “Nine Perfect Strangers” allegedly then says, “Don’t touch me” as camera flashes go off.

Before Kidman walks off, Hayek was allegedly heard responding “yes, please” to their conversation. A photographer allegedly then responds by saying “ladies, please,” in an attempt to get the two women to pose for a photo together. Hayek then opts to pose alongside the “Women’s Word” singer who is standing nearby.

As the “Eyes Wide Shut” leaves and the two women appear to exchange some final words, the “Frida” actress then is seen whispering to Perry, seemingly about what was going on.

Social media went wild attempting to get to the bottom of the confusing viral moment.

One X user called the exchange “so passive aggressive,” as The Blast previously reported. Another user wrote, “I get it. I don’t want someone spinning me to take a pic if I genuinely don’t feel like being photographed.”

Hayek posted a photo set on Instagram recapping the event on October 1st. In the photo featuring Kidman, the “Big Little Lies” actress is seen looking down, while Hayek appears to look vaguely sad.

The comments on the photo set are currently turned off.

The speculation of a feud between the two actresses has grown exponentially to the point where insiders close to the actresses are intervening.

Two sources attempted to put the scandal to rest. One source told Us Weekly, “There is no beef between the two women.” A second source added, “They are close friends and there’s nothing to this. They were in the middle of a conversation and it’s being taken out of context,” adding “Nicole has recently lost her mom, let’s have some grace for her.”

Both actresses have not commented on the situation as of this writing.

The actress left the Venice Film Festival early last month following the passing of her mother. The news was announced in a statement by “Babygirl” director Halina Reijn.

Kidman’s statement read, “I arrived in Venice and found out shortly after that my beautiful, brave mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, has just passed. I’m in shock, and I have to go to my family, but this award is for her. She shaped me and made me.” the actress said.

Kidman won Best Actress for her portrayal in “Babygirl.”

Kidman will join her “Big Little Lies” castmates for a third season. The HBO drama premiered in 2019 and is based on the hit thriller by Laine Moriarty.
