It was a good night for Bad Bunny, who took home the coveted album of the year Grammy, making history in the process as the first-ever artist to win for a non-English-language album for his landmark DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. Much earlier in the telecast, the Puerto Rican superstar heard his name called for best música urbana album and that is when he drew cheers throughout Crypto.com Arena when he said “ICE out” during his acceptance speech, adding, “We’re not savages; we’re not animals; we’re not aliens; we are humans, and we are Americans.” After Bad Bunny emerged from backstage following the acceptance speech, he made his way back to his table positioned right in front of the stage. He sat for just a few seconds before Reba McEntire made a beeline for Bad Bunny’s table to introduce herself and (presumably) congratulate him on the big moment. They had what appeared to be a warm conversation (he even rested his hand on her shoulder at one point) and posed for a quick photograph together.

Even before he took home album of the year, it looked like Bad Bunny was having the time of his life. The superstar, who is set to take the stage this weekend at Super Bowl LX, proved to be one of the show’s most popular guests during commercial breaks. A steady stream of music stars swung by his table to say hello, offer congratulations or have a conversation. He was easy to spot, too, as Bad Bunny had the first table front and center and whenever he stood up, it was hard to miss his sculptural black tuxedo by Schiaparelli with a laced-up detail along the back. We spotted him in close conversations with Justin and Hailey Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Sabrina Carpenter (seen here), Rosé, Rauw Alejandro (seen here), J. Balvin, Gayle King (seen here), Shaboozey (seen here) and, as mentioned above, Reba McIntire. “I feel so honored every time I get to be in this room, and as grateful as I feel, I honestly don’t feel like I need to say anything, but that no one is illegal on stolen land.” So said Billie Eilish on the broadcast after picking up a Grammy Award for song of the year for her hit “Wildflower.” After the now-viral moment, Eilish headed backstage with brother Finneas only to emerge moments later during a commercial break to take their seats once again front and center next to Bad Bunny. In that break and the next, Eilish was swarmed by fellow music stars offering their congratulations and reactions to the pointed speech.

It was an emotional night for the Osbournes. Sharon joined her children, Jack, Kelly and Aimee, in the audience for a heavy metal tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne, who died of a heart attack in July at age 76. Post Malone teamed with Slash, Duff McKagan, Chad Smith and Andrew Watt for the all-star tribute that featured one of Osbourne’s most notable songs, “War Pigs,” which he released with Black Sabbath in 1970. After it ended, Kelly was seen wiping away tears as the family soaked in the scene as the in memoriam segment continued with an all-star tribute led by Lauryn Hill. Shaboozey left his seat to quickly dart over to Kelly and offer condolences and a hug.

Telecast cameras certainly captured Hailey Bieber’s sweet reactions to husband Justin Bieber’s buzzworthy “Yukon” performance, which found him alone on stage wearing only a pair of silk boxers and a pair of socks. As he finished the performance, Hailey threw her hands up in the air to applaud for her other half while he received a standing ovation. She took a seat and immediately started texting someone before making her way over to SZA for a hug.

The internet has gone wild over the awkward Cher moment when the superstar singer abruptly left the stage after accepting a lifetime achievement award. She was supposed to do double duty by offering up an acceptance speech and then rolling straight into presenting record of the year. However, once the speech was done, Cher bolted for backstage. The cameras didn’t catch the entire moment but below is what audience members saw inside the arena.

Rosé and Bruno Mars had the tall task of opening the telecast with a performance of their hit “APT.” They got a little help from an announcer inside the arena as guests were still filing into their seats. “Get on your feet, please, this opening number is fantastic,” he said to cheers inside Crypto.com Arena. Rosé also did her best to amp up the crowd by throwing her hands in the air and swaying side to side, seen below.

After her “Abracadabra” performance, Lady Gaga made her way to the VIP section to take a seat in the audience for the first time during the telecast. As she walked through the crowd, Gaga was stopped by other stars as Chappell Roan waited patiently for a chance to say hello. The two Grammy Award winners then had an extended chat that included not one, not two but three hugs. Roan even excitedly hopped up and down at one point.

Lauryn Hill received raves for her in memoriam tribute to Roberta Flack and D’Angelo, a segment she led that featured an all-star roster of performers including Lucky Daye, Raphael Saadiq, Anthony Hamilton, Jon Batiste, Leon Thomas, John Legend, Chaka Khan, Leon Bridges, Alexia Jayy, Lalah Hathaway and October London. When it was over, Hill hugged her Fugees bandmate Wyclef Jean and promptly paid her respects to the band by bowing before them.

Chappell Roan had official duties during the telecast on Sunday night. The “Pink Pony Club” songstress took to the stage to present a best new artist trophy after winning the category last year. The trophy went to Olivia Dean, and Roan returned to her seat following the much anticipated moment. Her other duties included supporting her own nomination for record of the year for “The Subway,” and once that category was announced near the end of the telecast, Roan bolted for the door and left the ceremony early before the final category (album of the year) was announced. The Haim sisters also made an early exit to beat the crush.

Speaking of paying respects, following their performance of “So Far Ahead,” Pharrell Williams and Clipse (comprising brothers Pusha T and Malice), turned around to honor the Voices of Fire choir by bowing before them and showing them some love. As Williams returned to his seat following the performance, Jamie Foxx returned the love Williams’ way by praising his performance.

Alex Warren also battled some audio issues during his performance of the smash hit “Ordinary” — he addressed it an Instagram post following the show — but the best new artist nominee powered through and adjusted his in-ear pack and removed one of the earpieces. The performance was among the most eye-catching for those in the arena as Warren floated above the crowd as countless guests held up their cellphone flashlights per instructions that flashed on the jumbo screens.

The internet loved best new artist nominee Leon Thomas and his performance of the smash hit “Mutt,” and so did the audience inside Crypto.com Arena. That included stars like Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, Tyla and Zara Larsson who were spotted up and dancing throughout the song. However, the audience inside the arena heard some audio issues throughout that plagued the performance and left many scratching their heads. As heard in the clip below, there was a static sort of reverb that filled the venue throughout the entire performance. “What is going on with the sound?” asked one guest seated behind The Hollywood Reporter.

Interpreters sometimes show up during the telecast while signing acceptance speeches or special tributes but Sunday night’s Grammy Awards featured two ASL interpreters who were positioned in the crowd to help communicate the show to a couple of seated guests.
