Ashley Tisdale may be getting more than what she bargained for with her viral essay.

The “High School Musical” actress has reportedly been getting visits from directors willing to turn her story about her “toxic mom group” into a screen adaptation weeks after she made waves on The Cut.

Ashley Tisdale’s spicy article has sent several spectators into bouts of investigation, especially about her defunct friendship with Hilary Duff, Meghan Trainor, Mandy Moore, and designer Samii Ryan.

Latest information sizzling from the actress’ corner is that a few Hollywood studios are allegedly interested in turning her “Breaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group” article into something visual.

A source close to the actress emphasized that there is growing interest in making the story into a film version. Big production companies have equally declared their interest in collaborating with the actress and making the story into a movie because it is very relatable.

Since the story went viral and subsequently dragged Duff, Trainor, Moore, and Ryan into the conspiracy circle, Tisdale’s camp has come out to refute reports that the article was written with them in mind.

As noted by Page Six, Tisdale got vulnerable about feeling left out in the activities of a group that was supposed to be her safety net due to their shared purpose of motherhood.

In the middle of the growing controversy, Tisdale’s character was the subject of another hot topic after a lawyer detailed her very rude display during an auto crash episode.

As noted by The Blast, the lawyer, identified as Michael Parker, claimed they represented a Lina Gonzalez who got involved in a car crash involving Tisdale on Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue in Los Angeles in September 2022.

Parker shared that the actress was very rude and dismissive towards Gonzalez, who had suffered injuries on her shoulder, neck, back, and left wrist due to the crash. Tisdale had reportedly told off the duo that her manager would be in contact with them despite the severity of the injuries.

The actress was then sued the following year after she failed to reach out to the alleged victim. Also, she proceeded to share her story on social media, including pictures from the accident, all without knowing Tisdale was a celebrity.

Following Gonzalez’s filing and social media post, Tisdale’s husband got involved in the drama and accused Gonzalez of committing insurance fraud and also releasing her personal information online. Gonzalez’s lawyer continued that Tisdale’s husband, Christopher French, made his client feel attacked. 

Parker continued that due to the large following the couple enjoyed on social media, having one’s personal information lying around on their page may carry severe consequences on their safety.

Tisdale also went ahead to secure a restraining order against Gonzalez, describing her as someone who exposed her to the risk of experiencing “unwanted annoyance or embarrassment.

The actress’s request was ultimately denied, and the case was settled in 2024 in a sealed agreement with an undisclosed fee paid in settlement.

The Blast shared that in a new TikTok video, Trainor emphasized her innocence in Tisdale’s story, which opened the speculated members of the friend group to subtle attacks from internet users. 

The musician in her post lip-synced to a popular sound on TikTok, which said: “Come on, you have to believe me! Please, you have to believe me, you have to believe me.”

The sound was culled from a scene in “Stranger Things” where Holly Wheeler tried to convince a group of friends that they were dealing with a funny imaginary friend.

Trainor, who appeared radiant in a blonde middle part hairstyle, stressed in the caption that the clip was another attempt to clear her name concerning her involvement in the “mom group drama,” noting that she is innocent by every metric.

The “Made You Look” singer’s post left behind a trail of discussion among TikTok users who speculated that Trainor might be saying the truth because Tisdale still followed her on social media.

The “Lizzy McGuire” star’s husband, Matthew Koma, went on social media after Tisdale’s article to shade her by calling her “The Most Self-obsessed Tone Deaf Person On Earth.”

The statement further drew a dredge in the hole speculators have dug about everyone and their connection to the problem. Glee actress Becca Tobin broke down the whole situation on her podcast and called Duff’s husband “a loser.”

Tobin stressed that it becomes gross and petty to see husbands get involved in their wives’ drama, especially if Tisdale did not give any names. “If Ashley had come out and said Hilary was said person being a mean girl, I would understand the husband coming to her defense,” the singer continued.

She added that Koma deliberately involved himself in the drama to get attention and insisted that his attack on Tisdale was very offensive and unnecessary.
