The vocalist took to her Instagram Story to quickly share a post rallying people to participate in the “ICE OUT NATIONWIDE SHUTDOWN, NO WORK. NO SCHOOL. NO SHOPPING. JAN 30, 2026.”

The original post encouraged interested participants to sign up for the march online to lend their voices against the treatment of immigrants in recent times by the Trump administration.

Taking to X, Grande fans and members of the public showered her with praises for constantly promoting and leading the voice against these inhumane policies. In this commenter’s words:

“Ariana using her massive platform to speak on what matters exactly why I love her, hope this goes crazy. We need more artists doing this. No work for me tomorrow.”

One more X user applauded her for raising awareness about the protest and was sure it would affect the outcome positively. “Using her platform for something bigger than herself… respect. Not everyone does that,” this X subscribed added.

However, some commenters expressed their reservations about the protest, noting that joining would mean leaving their job and that the risk would be a very expensive one to take.

“Normal people have jobs and have to go to work, and some parents can’t afford to get someone to look after their kids because they’re taking part in a protest, I get what she’s tryna do but this ain’t it,” this commenter noted.

Last Sunday, The Blast shared that the actress joined her fellow celebrities to speak against ICE following the unfortunate shooting of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis during a raid. In her usual manner, the singer simply reposted a post from Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani, which declared:

“As tens of thousands across America protest the violence that ICE sows with impunity, federal agents shot and killed another person in Minneapolis today,” the post read. “ICE terrorizes our cities. ICE puts us all in danger. Abolish ICE.”

Pretti was killed on Saturday, January 24, after he allegedly approached agents with a gun, although videos and eyewitness accounts stated otherwise.

Last year, the singer did a quick check on Trump’s supporters by reposting a post from Matt Bernstein on her story, which sought to know how they truly felt about his 250 days in the Oval Office.

As reported by The Blast, the letter from Bernstein challenged MAGA supporters that Americans have continued to suffer despite his presence in the office.

Some of the highlights of Trump’s government since his inauguration include immigrants being violently separated from their families and communities being destroyed. The statement also continued that trans people are getting blamed for every problem, while free speech continues to face limitations.

“Has your life gotten better? Have your groceries gotten cheaper? Has your health insurance premium gone down? Has your work/life balance improved? Can you take a vacation yet? Are you happier?” the post added.

The emotional post was concluded by asking if the fans were still waiting to profit off the “widespread suffering of others,” as promised by the politician.

Grande’s critique of Trump’s politics and policies did not begin today; in fact, it dates back to a decade during his first tenure in office. The singer, at the time, was unapologetically team Hillary Clinton, and when she lost, Grande urged Americans to keep on hoping for better days, while fighting for what is right.

The actress took to social media to educate people on the importance of youths participating in the electoral process and how they could have influenced the Electoral College votes with their numbers.

Last June, she stepped on the toes of Trump supporters who called for her deportation after she reposted a post with a placard condemning the president’s decision on mass deportation. Some Trump supporters claimed that the actress’s deportation would have little to no effect on America’s GDP.

The performer has spent nearly two decades in the industry, slamming charts and clinching several awards along the way. However, since finding her way back to acting alongside Cynthia Erivo on “Wicked,” Grande admitted that she has come face-to-face with her reflections.

In a March 2026 interview with Vogue Japan, Grande stated that it might be healthy for her to consider the possibility of a hiatus. In her words:

“I’m not used to taking breaks. But I do know that I grew so much from taking space from music while I was filming ‘Wicked’… But yeah, these past few years have been pretty non-stop. And by few, I mean 15.”

Grande noted that playing the role of Glinda in her hit movie forced her to analyze the emotional mechanics of a character who survives on presentation while ignoring vulnerabilities.

She revealed that the process blurred the lines between acting and self-examination and brought her to realize just how often she has been expected to project different realities from what she was truly feeling.
