Added on October 7, 2025 inMusic News Cards

Is Mercury in retrograde, or does the cosmos just have it out for our living legends today? There I was, minding my own celestial business, when that bombshell of a headline hit—Dolly Parton, the glittering Capricorn queen herself, is hitting pause on her Vegas run due to some health curveballs . Now if you’re anything like me, you’ve got a Dolly playlist for every mood, phase of the moon, and inevitable existential crisis . It feels like Vegas without Dolly is like a zodiac cycle without a lunar eclipse—sure, life goes on, but some shine just goes missing .

But here’s a twist: As Venus cozies up to Saturn (don’t get me started on that wonky aspect), Dolly’s sister Freida has sent out a virtual bat signal, asking all us prayer warriors and disco ball devotees to join hands—metaphorically or not—and send up a little cosmic help. Suddenly, the drama of rescheduled colosseum dates and missing that Governors Awards moment feels oddly intimate. Are you feeling that collective jolt of concern too? Maybe the stars really are nudging us to love our icons even harder .

So, let’s get honest—when Dolly needs a little planetary alignment, who among us isn’t ready to rearrange the cosmos, one rhinestone at a time? Want every astrological detail, a deep-dive on Dolly’s latest, and the full scoop on what’s next for country music’s brightest star? LEARN MORE.

Freida Parton is asking Dolly Parton‘s fans to help pray for her sister after she postponed her upcoming Las Vegas concerts due to health issues.

Freida took to her Facebook on Tuesday to share an update on the “Jolene” singer, who shared last month that she’s “been dealing with some health challenges” and that her doctors said she needs to “have a few procedures.”

“Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately,” Freida wrote. “I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been lead to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me.”

She continued, “She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!”

While Dolly hasn’t publicly shared what her health issues are, the music icon previously told her fans, “Don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.”

The “Here You Come Again” artist was initially scheduled for six shows from Dec. 4-13 for Dolly: Live in Las Vegas at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Those performances have since been rescheduled for Sept. 17-26, 2026.

Dolly also won’t be attending the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 16th Governors Awards on Nov. 16 in Hollywood, where she was set to receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.
