Buckle up, because Rocky didn’t hold back on his new album Don’t Be Dumb — dropping bars so sharp they’re practically celestial daggers. Curious how this love-tangling feud unfolds through beats and bruised egos? LEARN MORE.
Just as the dust appeared to have settled following his fiery feud with Kendrick Lamar, another rapper has taken aim at Drake.
It appears that the Canadian crooner simply can’t catch a break, as A$AP Rocky has just called out the ‘Rich Flex’ hitmaker on his new album Don’t Be Dumb.
The former friends – who once toured together and both appeared on the 2012 track ‘F**kin’ Problems’ – have now turned foes…and apparently, it’s all because of Rihanna.
Before the Barbadian beauty started a family with Rocky, she and Drake had something of an on-and-off relationship over the years while also collaborating on various music projects together.
Drake memorably declared that he had been ‘in love’ with Rihanna since he was 22 years old during his speech at the 2016 VMAs – which is a moment Rihanna doesn’t look back on fondly.
Back in 2018, the ‘Rude Boy’ singer told Vogue that she found his shoutout ‘uncomfortable’ to sit through, saying: “I don’t like to be put on blast.”

Clarifying where her and Drake stood at that point in time, she added: “We don’t have a friendship now, but we’re not enemies either. It is what it is.”
A couple of years later, in 2020, Rihanna and Rocky went public with their relationship and have since gone on to welcome three children: sons RZA and Riot, as well as a little girl named Rocki Irish.
The pair first met in 2012 and had got together a couple of times previously, but parted ways and dated other people before giving things another go.
Now we’re all up to date on this complicated history between this trio, let’s dig into how Rocky has just ripped into his love rival with a host of brutal bars.
He dropped his fourth studio album Don’t Be Dumb on Friday (16 January), which features a host of incredible features from the likes of Brent Faiyaz, Doechii, Gorillaz, Tyler The Creator and Westside Gunn.

One track, titled ‘Stole Ya Flow’, set tongues wagging online pretty quickly, as it is brimming with disses towards Drake…and his alleged BBL.
Rocky raps: “First you stole my flow, so I stole yo’ b**ch / I can’t trust a soul, just my pole and my kids / Swear to never lie, cross my heart, hope to die, uh / Then I sold the switch, then I hit it with a kiss, mwah.
“N****s getting BBLs, lucky we don’t body shame / Throwing dirt on Rocky name, turn around and copy game.”
Later on in the song, the dad-of-three, 37, adds: “Now I’m a father, my b**ch badder than my toddler / My baby mama Rihanna, so we unbothered.”
Rocky didn’t shy away from discussing the lyrics laced with digs during an appearance on Jon Caramanica and Joe Coscarelli’s podcast, as he appeared to confirm that Drake is the person they are aimed at.

When the Popcast hosts pointed out that social media users would likely presume he was taking shots at the ‘God’s Plan’ rapper, the musician responded: “I think we all know [who it is about].”
Discussing where things went wrong between them, Rocky said: “I don’t know…I started just seeing people who started out as friends and just became foes.
“[It] seemed like they was unhappy for you and just started sending shots. I think that’s what led to any of our misunderstandings or whatever the case is. It really ain’t smoke.”
When asked if there was a chance that he and Drake could clear the air, Rocky replied: “Nah, it don’t even need to be. Like, for what?”
Cryptically, he then added that the song was ‘for whoever feel like it’s about them’. If the shoe fits and all of that…
