Back in October 2025, just over 13 years after releasing her debut album, Ora told Rolling Stone AU/NZ that she was ready to reintroduce herself to the world after years of feeling stuck in a nonstop grind.

She admitted she’d spent more than a decade questioning her identity as an artist and craving space to evolve beyond expectations. “I just felt like I was on a hamster wheel for a while,” she said, explaining that she intentionally stripped everything back to reconnect with who she is now, not who people remember her as.

That mindset led to “All Natural,” a title she described as deeply personal. For Ora, “natural” isn’t just aesthetic, it’s emotional and empowering, reflecting her growth as a woman who’s no longer playing it safe or trying to fit a mold.

She emphasized wanting to embrace strength, confidence, and self-ownership, particularly when it comes to sexuality and sensuality, not as shock value, but as celebration.

Ora also acknowledged that she’s not entirely sure where her current sound fits within the pop landscape of 2025 and going into 2026, especially with genre-defining stars like Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter dominating the charts, but she made it clear that fitting neatly into a box isn’t her priority.

“I try not to look at it because I do believe that when you try and do something that you think people want, it usually doesn’t work,” Ora explained, admitting it’s tempting for artists to chase whatever sound is trending. “As an artist, you’re like, ‘OK, well that’s popular, let’s just try and do something similar.’ But then it’s like, what’s your identity?”

Instead of imitation, Ora says she’s focused on carving out her own lane. While she draws inspiration from what’s popular, she insists she doesn’t chase it. “I definitely love the idea of pop music having different faces,” she said, noting that today’s landscape leaves room for everything from pop to hip-hop and rap.
