So, here’s a fun cosmic question for ya: When a Venus-in-Aquarius vibe is buzzing through the air, should engagements be celebrated with cheers or… a sprinkle of boos? Well, during a recent episode of “The Tonight Show,” Halle Berry found herself on the receiving end of a surprise boo right in the middle of sharing the joyous news about her engagement to Van Hunt. Now, if you think that’s awkward, wait till you hear how Jimmy Fallon handled it — with a perfect mix of disbelief and comfort that almost felt like the universe itself was throwing shade and then smoothing it over with charm. Turns out, there was some confusion about whether Halle had really said “yes,” but she cleared the air in true star-quality fashion, much to the relief and applause of the crowd. Halle Berry Gets Booed On Jimmy Fallon For Engagement

Not everyone was thrilled to hear the happy news, though — with one person even going so far as to boo her.

Halle was telling Jimmy how “great” Van is when someone in the audience suddenly booed.

“Noooooo!” Halle said. “Yay!” Jimmy laughed. “Don’t be jealous!” he told the person. “No, he’s great. We love him.”

Halle then addressed some “confusion” around the status of their relationship, caused by a June 2025 interview that suggested Van had proposed, but she hadn’t said yes.

That’s when the audience member once again interjected, yelling, “Yes!”

Halle and Jimmy both shouted back, “No!”

“No, sir, stop,” Jimmy said, covering his face as he started to laugh. He then reached over and gave Halle a comforting pat on the arm as she smiled and laughed.

She finished her story by explaining that she and Van are very much engaged. “That’s not the case. I did not say no. We just don’t have a date. But of course I said yes, I would marry him,” Halle said to raucous cheers from the audience.
