Is it just me, or is there something written in the cosmos about Tyler, the Creator’s Grammy comeback landing right smack in the middle of Aquarius season? Blame it on the retrograde, blame it on musical fate—but the stars are practically screaming for a wild genre-bending spectacle this Sunday . Seriously, I checked my horoscope, and it read: “expect the unexpected and maybe some glitter.” So, I’m over here wondering—if Mercury’s moonwalk is any indicator, will Tyler’s set turn the Grammy stage into a portal of surprise collabs and jaw-dropping fashion choices?
It’s been a hot minute since Tyler last rocked the Grammy house—back when “Earfquake” had us all (and maybe our grandmothers) yelling “Don’t leave!” Now, with Chromakopia up for album of the year and the very real possibility of best alternative and best rap album wins floating in the ether, this feels notable, dare I say—fated . Sure, the room will be stuffed with icons, but if you believe in star signs—and I absolutely do—this is Tyler’s night written in planetary highlighter. Because if there’s ever a time to ask: Can musical chaos create a new cosmic order?—it’s Grammys night, under an unpredictable Aquarius sun .
Will there be fireworks, a wardrobe malfunction, or maybe a grammable meme that lives forever? I have no idea…but that’s exactly what makes it cosmic catnip . LEARN MORE

Tyler, the Creator is set to perform at the 2026 Grammy Awards Sunday evening, the Recording Academy announced on Thursday, joining a star-studded list of performances from the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Lady Gaga and Clipse, among others.
Sunday will mark Tyler’s first performance during Music’s Biggest Night since the rapper made his Grammy debut in 2020, where he played a widely-lauded medley of IGOR tracks “Earfquake” and “New Magic Wand.” IGOR won the rapper his first-ever Grammy that year, taking home the award for best rap album.
This year, Tyler is contending for album of the year for his eighth album Chromakopia, which is also up for best rap album. Don’t Tap the Glass, which he released nine months later, is up for best alternative album.
Chromakopia is one of three rap albums up for album of the year this year, alongside Kendrick Lamar’s GNX and Clipse’s Let God Sort Em Out.
As usual, this weekend’s Grammys will feature no shortage of star-studded performances. Earlier Friday, the Recording Academy confirmed that Rosé would take the stage as well, and this week the organization also announced an in memoriam segment led by Reba McEntire, Lauryn Hill and Post Malone, who will help honor late music legends including D’Angelo, Ozzy Osbourne and Roberta Flack.
Elsewhere, this year’s ceremony will also feature a best new artist segment featuring all eight of this year’s nominees: Leon Thomas, Olivia Dean, KATSEYE, Sombr, Lola Young, Addison Rae, The Marias and Alex Warren.
The Grammys will air at 5 p.m. PST on CBS on Feb. 1, the last time it will air on the network before moving to Disney next year. Trevor Noah will serve as emcee for the evening for his sixth and final time this year, ending a years-long gig that started with the 2021 awards.
