The pair have famously had an on-off relationship that first began in 2020 after they met on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass. They got engaged in 2022, called it off, reconciled, and then reportedly split again shortly after Megan announced in November 2024 that they were expecting their first child.
Since welcoming their daughter, Saga Blade, in March 2025, things appeared to be smoothing out between them. In October, a source told People that they were together “often” even as MGK was preparing to go on tour.
“He spends pretty much every night at her house with the baby,” the source said. “And they act like a couple, but they haven’t put a label on it or made anything official.”
They added that Megan was “very happy” and enjoyed spending time with him. “Megan’s very happy with how he’s stepped up for both her and the baby,” the source continued. “While they still have separate homes, they spend a lot of time together as a family. They’re putting the baby first, and it’s brought them closer in many ways.”
But despite all that, it sounds like the two never actually got back together — and are now solely focusing on co-parenting. A source recently told People that Megan and MGK “haven’t been together in a real way for a long time now and whatever they had romantically is done.”
“Their relationship at this point is just about co-parenting,” the source said. “Megan is focused on her kids and the baby and just getting settled into this new chapter. That’s genuinely her priority.”
As for her dating life, “There’s nothing serious romantically” at the moment, the source said, “but she’s not closed [off] to it either.”
“If something came along naturally and felt right, she’d be open to it. She’s just not thinking about it or chasing anything,” the source added.
Well, I’m wishing all the best to both of them. We’ve also reached out to their reps for comment on the latest report and will let you know if we hear back.
