One of the most traumatic experiences of Pamela Anderson’s life was thrust back into the spotlight in 2022 when Hulu released Pam & Tommy, a miniseries about the theft and illegal distribution of her and Tommy Lee’s sex tape in the late ‘90s.

The show starred Lily James and Sebastian Stan as Pamela and Tommy, and when the project was first announced, it was widely assumed that the real subjects must have been involved in some capacity; however, it quickly became apparent that this was not the case.

Pamela initially stayed silent, with reports claiming that she felt “violated” by the show after it was “allowed to happen without her approval.” The creators of Pam & Tommy then responded to this by claiming that they’d reached out to Pamela, but she’d “chosen not to engage.”

At the time, people called out the irony in telling a story about the nonconsensual distribution of a stolen sex tape without the consent of the victims. But, despite the controversy, Pam & Tommy ultimately proved to be a hit, scoring a string of nominations at the 2022 Emmys, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series and nods for both Lily and Sebastian’s performances.

In the years since Pam & Tommy aired, Pamela has firmly refuted the claim that she turned down the creators’ attempts to involve her. “I didn’t know anything about it,” she said in 2025. “No one called me, which was so strange, and that was hurtful.”

And now, during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, the Naked Gun star talked about the discomfort of attending the Golden Globes last week and coming face-to-face with one of Pam & Tommy’s executive producers, Seth Rogen, who also starred in the show as Rand Gauthier, the construction worker who stole the sex tape from Pamela and Tommy’s home in 1995.

“Seth Rogen, he did that movie on me without talking to me, you know, Pam & Tommy,” Pamela said, looking visibly irritated as she called the actor out by name. “I just felt like, you know, how can someone make a TV series out of difficult times in your life, and I’m a living, breathing human being over here, hello?!”

When Andy asked if they ran into each other during the night, Pamela said that they were “close,” but didn’t interact. “I felt a little bit weird about it, and I felt like, you know, I’ve been so busy… But sometimes it hits you, and you feel kind of down,” she said. “I don’t know, it just felt a little yucky… Maybe he’ll reach out to me and apologize. Not that that matters.”

“You are free game,” she continued, calling the sex tape scandal the “worst time in [her] life.” “When you are a public person, they say you have no right to privacy, but your darkest, deepest secrets or your tragedies in your life shouldn’t be fair game for a TV series. That pissed me off a little bit.”

When Andy asked whether she thinks Seth has an “inkling” about how much he’s hurt her, Pamela replied: “Do people? Do these kinds of people? What do you say? Some of these things have been very lucrative for people. So then I think that just goes out the window. I guess that’s the most important thing. But anyway, not to complain. Everything’s good.”
