The video depicts several clips of anti-ICE protestors to the lyrics “Wanna try out some freaky positions?”, followed by various clips of people being handcuffed and forcibly detained, alongside the lyrics “Have you ever tried this one?” Sabrina also famously “arrests” someone — usually a celebrity — at every one of her concerts right before the song for being hot.

Sabrina responded to the use of her song in the video, saying, “this video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.”

In November of 2025, Olivia Rodrigo denounced the Department of Homeland Security and the Trump White House for posting a video to Instagram set to her song “all-american bitch,” encouraging people to self-deport.

During the crescendo of the song where Olivia screams, the on-screen text reads, “If ICE finds you,” with clips of handcuffed detainees being boarded onto buses and planes. The next line of the song, which is soft and mellow, shows clips of smiling immigrants waiting in line to board a plane, some holding flags and baggage.

Olivia commented, saying, “don’t ever use my songs to promote your racist, hateful propaganda”. The song is no longer playable on the video.

Earlier in 2025, Millie Bobby Brown took to Instagram to put several journalists on blast by name for critiquing her physical appearance and “[acting] like [she’s] supposed to stay frozen in time, like [she’s] should still look the way [she] did on Stranger Things Season 1.”

“This isn’t journalism. This is bullying. The fact that adult writers are spending their time dissecting my face, my body, my choices, it’s disturbing,” she says, after citing specific articles and the journalist who wrote them. “Disillusioned people can’t handle seeing a girl become a woman on her terms, not theirs. I refuse to apologize for growing up. I refuse to make myself smaller to fit the unrealistic expectations of people who can’t handle seeing a girl become a woman. I will not be shamed for how I look, how I dress, or how I present myself,” she continued.”

Millie closed out the video looking to the future, saying, “Let’s do better. Not just for me, but for every young girl who deserves to grow up without fear of being torn apart for simply existing.”

Earlier this year, Hayley Williams called out country singer Morgan Wallen as the “racist country singer” whose Tennessee bar she references in her song, “Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party.”

When asked about which singer inspired the line by The New York Times, Hayley responded, “It could be a couple…but I’m always talking about Morgan Wallen, I don’t give a shit.” She continued, “Find me at Whole Foods, bitch. I don’t care.” Morgan does, in fact, own a bar on Broadway in Tennessee, called “Morgan Wallen’s This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen.”

5.

Speaking of Morgan Wallen, Maren Morris also called out the “Last Night” singer, who was caught saying the n-word in a clip shared online by TMZ in 2021.

Taking to social media, she tweeted, “…this isn’t [Wallen’s] first ‘scuffle’ and he just demolished a huge streaming record last month regardless. We all know it wasn’t his first time using that word.” Speaking of the lack of accountability Morgan and those like him in the industry have faced, she continued, “We keep them rich and protected at all costs with no recourse.”

She continued on about the prevalent lack of accountability, replying to Kelsea Ballerini on Twitter, who had quote-tweeted a now-deleted post highlighting the discrepancy in the standards male country acts vs. female country acts are held to. Maren added, “we’d be dropped, endorsements lost, social pariahs to music row…” Later, on Sophia Bush’s Work in Progress podcast, she revealed that both she and her son received death threats for her public criticism.

6.

Maren Morris also called out Jason Aldean’s wife, Brittany, for her anti-trans comments, iconically dubbing her “Insurrection Barbie”.

In 2022, Brittany shared a makeup transformation video with the caption “I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life🤎✌🏼” She reportedly went on to spread misinformation on “the genital mutilation of children,” referencing gender-affirming care.

Maren replied to a tweet about Brittany and her comments on trans folks, saying, “It’s so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human?” In reference to Brittany’s then-hair extension business, she continued, “Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.”

In 2020, Samantha Ware, who appeared in the final season of Glee, called out star Lea Michele on Twitter for her “traumatic microagressions” and making her life “a living hell” on set.

This all started with a now-deleted tweet where Lea Michele spoke out in support of BLM, saying “George Floyd did not deserve this. This was not an isolated incident and it must end. #BlackLivesMatter.” Several days later, Samatha quote-tweeted Lea Michele’s post, calling her activism into question after having an allegedly horrific experience with her on set. That now-deleted tweet read, “LMAO REMEMBER WHEN YOU MADE MY FIRST [TELEVISION] GIG A LIVING HELL?!?! CAUSE ILL NEVER FORGET. I BELIEVE YOU TOLD EVERYONE THAT IF YOU HAD THE OPPORTUNITY YOU WOULD ‘SH*T IN MY WIG!’ AMONGST OTHER TRAUMATIC MICROAGRESSIONS THAT MADE ME QUESTION A CAREER IN HOLLYWOOD.”

Several other actors on the Glee set spoke out in support, with their own stories about Lea Michele. Claims included Lea Michele allegedly referred to background actors “cockroaches” and refused to let them sit with cast members at lunch because they “didn’t belong there.” Drag Race star Willam said, “Lea treated me so subhuman i left the set of Glee.” Cast member Amber Riley also chimed in with a subtle gif in support.

8.

In 2015, Melissa McCarthy spoke with Entertainment Weekly about calling out an unnamed reviewer at the Toronto Film Festival who made sexist comments about her appearance in a review of her film, Tammy. According to Melissa, the critic’s comments included claims that she was only a good actor when she “looked more attractive” and that her husband — who directed the film — should “never be allowed to direct [her] because he allowed [her] to look so homely.”

“Would you say that to any guy?… [When an actor] is playing a character that is depressed and dejected, would you say, ‘Well, you look terrible!'” Melissa then asked if the critic had a daughter, and upon his confirmation that he had two, she continued, “Watch what you say to her. Do you tell her she’s only worthwhile or valid when she’s pretty?”

9.

In 2021, Lucy Liu spoke out about the “inexcusable and unacceptable” language co-star Bill Murray hurled at her on the set of Charlie’s Angels back in 1999. At the time, media coverage of it felt very sexist, according to Lucy, assuming that she was the problem despite Bill being the one to instigate the conflict, according to Lucy.

Sharing her side of the story on the Asian Enough podcast, she explained that the rest of the cast took that weekend to rework a scene, which Bill couldn’t attend. Being the latest addition to the cast, Lucy didn’t have much authority in the rewrite. When Bill returned for rehearsals, he was very unhappy with the changes, and — according to Lucy — began taking it out on her. “I was, like, ‘Wow, he seems like he’s looking straight at me,” she recalled. “I say, ‘I’m so sorry. Are you talking to me?’ — and clearly he was, because then it started to become a one-on-one communication.”

Despite Bill being a more established actor in the industry, Lucy stood up for herself. “I don’t want to be that person that is not going to speak up for myself and stand by the only thing that I have, which is my dignity and self-respect,” she reflected. “Because no matter how low on the totem pole you may be or wherever you came from, there’s no need to condescend or to put other people down.” Lucy shared that, to this day, she does not regret her decision, and that decades after the fact, crew members from that set have come up to her and told her how grateful they are she stood up to him.

10.

In 2021, Nicole Kidman called out reporter Eva Wiseman for asking a “sexist” question about her previous marriage to Tom Cruise on her Being the Ricardos press tour, undermining her actual commentary on the film and the famous couple that inspired it.

During the interview, Nicole took a moment to appreciate a sentiment the film touches on, that a relationship can not have a happy ending but still leave beautiful things in its wake. Speaking of Lucy Ball and Desi Arnaz — who the film is about — she began, “You can’t make people behave how you want them to, and sometimes you’re going to fall in love with someone who isn’t going to be the person you spend the rest of your life with. And I think that’s all very relatable. You may have kids with them. You may not, but they were very much in love.” Eva followed Nicole’s musings by asking if that was her “way of talking about Tom Cruise.”

Nicole adamantly denied any connection of her statement to her first husband, and asked not to be “pigeonholed” as a famous actor’s ex-wife. Wanting to discuss her work and not in the shadow of a relationship that ended two decades ago, she explained the question felt “almost sexist” to her, saying, “I’m not sure anyone would say that to a man… At some point, you go, ‘Give me my life. In its own right.'”

In 2022, Lili Reinhart slammed Kim Kardashian after she revealed on the Met Gala red carpet that she lost 16 pounds in just two weeks to fit into Marilyn Monroe’s dress.

In a series of Instagram stories, Lili went on to critique Kim’s interview and the way it perpetuated toxic diet culture in Hollywood and beyond, saying “To openly admit to starving yourself for the sake of the Met Gala. When you know very well that millions of young men and women are looking up to you and listening to your every word.” Speaking to her fans, she continued, “Please stop supporting these stupid, harmful celebrities whose entire image revolves around their bodies.”

12.

Back in 2018, Rihanna called out Donald Trump’s presidential campaign team, swiftly responding to reports that her song “Don’t Stop the Music” was being played at his rallies.

Replying to a tweet about it, she made perfectly clear that the song was not allowed to be used moving forward and that she nor her people “would ever be at or around one of those tragic rallies.” The next day, Rihanna and her team took legal action and sent a cease-and-desist letter to the Trump camp.

In 2016, America Ferrera called out her former manager for believing she could only play chubby Latina sidekick roles and that she had “unrealistic” expectations for her career.

Recalling the story to the New York Times, she said, “I had just won [a top award at Sundance], and [my manager] wanted me to audition for the Latina chubby girl in a pilot. She wasn’t even the lead; she was just the sidekick, with the same joke in every scene. I said, ‘I’m not going in for that,'” she began.

“When I ultimately left him, he [told] another of my reps, ‘Somebody should tell that girl that she has an unrealistic idea of what she can accomplish in this industry.’ That was someone I was paying to represent me.”

Sacha and Rebel were in the 2016 film The Brothers Grimsby together, which Sacha also wrote and produced. Prior to identifying Sacha as her alleged harasser, she told People about an unnamed actor who “called [her] into a room and pulled down his pants,” then asked her to perform a lewd act in front of his friends. She explained that she documented the harassment with her agency and made it known amongst industry circles, but still struggles with what happened on set, saying, “Why did I stay in that situation… with that awful guy?… I should have left. It wasn’t worth it. But at the same time, I was like, ‘Oh well, do the right thing, be a professional and finish the movie.’ Now I would never do that.”

She later went on to detail more disrespect she faced on the set, like her body being exploited for laughs. “It’s one thing for someone who is fat to exploit their size for comedy, but it’s another for somebody else to humiliate you,” she said. Additionally, she claimed to turn down a nude running scene, and said she was asked to watch the stripper they hired in her place do it on the monitor.

After lots of feuding back and forth in interviews and online, Marlon Wayans called out Soulja Boy earlier this year for his anti-LBGTQ comments about Marlon and his transgender son, Kai.

Sharing a screenshot of Soulja Boy’s now-deleted tweet — which was seemingly in response to Marlon shading him on a radio show for performing at Trump’s Crypto Ball — he commented, saying, “You know you can get cancelled for transphobic slander like this… Fortunately for you that you don’t have a career. Apparently, You BEEN cancelled for the last 17 years. Crank that was 2007. We waiting.” Marlon has not been shy about publicly supporting his son and being an ally to the LGBTQ community.

The feud continued on, with Soulja Boy tweeting “I’ll piss on yo mama grave… I’ll dig ur mom up and kill that bitch again,” about Marlon’s late mother in a now-deleted post. Marlon responded with an AI-generated diss track about the rapper, calling him out for drug use and being a sellout.

On an episode of 60 Minutes Overtime early in her career, Lady Gaga gracefully pointed out the absurdity of Anderson Cooper asking her to address the rumor that she “had a male appendage” and was a “hermaphrodite.”

“Maybe I do…would it be so terrible?” she began. “Why the hell am I gonna waste my time and give a press release about whether or not I have a penis? My fans don’t care and neither do I.”

17.

And finally, several actors from the Harry Potter franchise have spoken out about author J.K. Rowling’s seemingly endless transphobic remarks, and that includes the iconic trio — Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson — who played Harry, Ron, and Hermione, respectively.

In 2020, Daniel released a statement through the Trevor project, saying, “Transgender women are women. Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo or I.” When asked about it by the Atlantic, he said staying silent would have seemed like “immense cowardice” coming from him, and that he “wanted to try and help people that had been negatively affected by [J.K. Rowling’s] comments.”

Rupert also issued a statement in 2020, saying, “I firmly stand with the trans community. Trans women are women. Trans men are men. We should all be entitled to live with love and without judgment.” Speaking of his and J.K. Rowling’s relationship, he referred to her as his “auntie” whose views he doesn’t necessarily agree with, but who is still his auntie. “It’s a tricky one,” he said of their dynamic.

As for Emma, in 2020 she tweeted, “I want my trans followers to know that I and so many other people around the world see you, respect you and love you for who you are,” she shared, following the tweet up by noting two trans-inclusive charities she donates to.

In terms of her and J.K. Rowling’s relationship, earlier this year, Emma clarified that their bond while filming the series makes her still able to “treasure Jo,” but when it comes to their opposing beliefs, she just doesn’t “know what else to do other than hold these two seemingly incompatible things together at the same time and just hope maybe they will one day resolve or co-join themselves, and maybe accept that they never will, but that they can both still be true.”
