Bill Belichick’s girlfriend has also been in the news lately over her recent threat to sue sports journalist Pablo Torre, as well as other wild antics, including posting her credentials online.

At UNC lately, the headlines seem to be a competition between the antics of Coach Belichick’s girlfriend and the team’s topsy-turvy performances.

So it was no surprise when a reporter confronted Belichick about his girlfriend’s “distractions” ahead of UNC’s game against North Carolina State.

“I know you can’t control what people write about you or say about you or talk about, but right before the Duke game, there was a big story in the New York Post. And right before this game, there was a story with Jordon Hudson possibly filing a lawsuit against Pablo [Torre],” said the journalist, per Awful Announcing.

The reporter added, “How much do those distractions seep down into the team, and how much time do they take from what you’re trying to accomplish? Is there a way, in your mind, to try to eliminate some of that drama?”

Rather than offer a response centered on his romance, as the reporter likely expected, Belichick chose to take a different approach.

“Yeah, I’m just focused on the game, that’s what our team is focused on,” the 73-year-old coach said of his team’s match against NC State.

Given his unexpected response, it appears the veteran coach is done commenting on his relationship during press interviews, regardless of the controversy surrounding his girlfriend, Hudson.

Hudson recently sparked backlash online after posting her all-access pass to UNC games on her Instagram page.

Several netizens and sports enthusiasts claimed it was a major violation of the team’s rules and warned that the 24-year-old risked losing her pass permanently.

However, no such decision has been made, nor has the team issued any statement regarding Hudson’s actions.

As for Hudson’s threat to sue journalist Pablo Torre, she shared it on her Instagram page in a post that also included the controversial picture of her flaunting her all-access pass.

At the time, the real estate enthusiast did not provide any details about why she was taking legal action, but netizens speculated that it was likely due to defamation stemming from comments Torre had previously made about her relationship.

Later, the prediction appeared to be accurate, as Hudson returned to her page to refute an earlier claim from Torre that she had falsified her age from 2001 to 2000 to make herself appear older for Belichick.

To support her clarification, the cheerleader posted screenshots of a conversation between herself and Emily Muse, UNC’s Chief of Staff for Personnel.

The conversation appeared to show that the confusion originated from an error made by Muse, who was seen apologizing for the mistake.

Torre had previously responded to the lawsuit threat from Hudson with a sarcastic remark about her not answering his request to appear on his show.

“Hi @Jordonbella, I assume this means you’re declining my invitation to be a guest on @pablofindsout?” he said, quoting a post of the lawsuit threat.

“Either way, I look forward to hearing from you! Thanks, Pablo,” he added.

A few days later, Torre showed he wasn’t scared of the lawsuit as he came after Belichick during an appearance on the “Joe Budden” podcast.

“Bob Kraft, the owner of the Patriots, once said he is an idiot savant,” Torre said about Belichick.

“He is a savant in football, the greatest defensive strategist in the history of football, and yet, he is a total idiot in lots of other ways,” he added.

Torre also claimed that Belichick didn’t get any job from the NFL after parting with the Patriots because no one trusted his ability to surround himself with the right people.
