Well, the former lovebirds who went their separate ways have been spotted nearly two months later getting cozy and oozing romantic vibes.

Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes began dating in 2023, and the relationship started when the musician slid into the actor’s DMs in December 2022.

The duo reportedly grabbed a few bites at the Cannonball Restaurant and Bar near Scotland’s Edinburgh Castle recently and looked every inch a couple while doing it.

A source close to the venue confirmed that Ballerini and Stokes both seemed like very pleasant people, and the actor took a few pictures with the fans outside the venue.

Ballerini and Stokes reportedly seemed smitten and happy with each other before their second sighting in Dubrovnik, Croatia, on Friday. As stated by US Weekly, the outing comes after Ballerini and Stokes ended their relationship amicably in September.

While the stars’ romance was absolutely to die for on the outside, The Blast gathered that a lot of things reportedly went down behind the scenes, including Stokes’ inability to put up with Ballerini’s lifestyle and fame. 

Sources close to the former couple claimed that the TV star began getting rather uncomfortable with his ex’s independence and growing career, often compared to that of Taylor Swift.

The actor would reportedly always think Ballerini was out there flirting or putting their relationship at risk the minute she is out of his sight and busy with her own schedule.

Fans also seemingly sensed trouble in the couple’s paradise, especially after they stopped posting each other constantly on their social media accounts and Ballerini’s cryptic statement about “finding peace.” They put up a good show at the Academy of Country Music Awards in May when they attended together.

The singer/songwriter finalized her divorce from ex, Morgan Evans, in November 2022, going into her relationship with Stokes on a sparkling clean slate. She even unfollowed Evans on Instagram before confirming her romantic status with the Netflix actor. 

Her separation from Evans signaled the end of a five-year union, which was marked by a prenuptial agreement, and they split their assets evenly, down to their Nashville home. She also shared her reservations about the end of her marriage to Evans with Alex Cooper on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.

Ballerini claimed her ex-husband painted her as the villain with his divorce song while he walked away with half their shared home. However, she found peace and security in her relationship with Stokes, according to her interview in 2023.

Although Stokes and Ballerini often gave a closer glimpse into their buzzing relationship, the actor was vocal about his wish to keep things on the down low. As shared by The Blast, he described the constant interference into their love life by the public as an over-sharing situation with lots of details out in the open.

“But I truthfully believe that my personal life is really, really private. For the most part, I still feel like I have a really good grasp on my privacy,” the star claimed.

Ballerini and Stokes tried to handle their breakup as quietly as they could, as the singer discreetly removed pictures of herself and the actor on her social media.

Two days before the split was confirmed, Stokes even attempted to diffuse the swirling rumors by posting a birthday tribute for Ballerini’s 32nd birthday in September.

She also wants to stick around enough to enjoy the good fruits of her shiny career, which she has built over the years. Ballerini also adjusted some of her demands when it comes to performing on stage, noting that it has to be wide enough to withstand her shenanigans for 90 minutes.

The star also added a healthy diet and fitness routine to her to-do list for her 30+ era. Lately, she has unlocked the potential of a protein-rich diet and how much women stand to gain from consuming them.

“I cook a really good chimichurri steak … that is my go-to. I’ll do it a couple of times a week. I have some in the fridge downstairs ready to go,” Ballerini stated.
