Ever felt like your dreams are just playing hard to get? Maybe it’s not you—it’s them! Sometimes, the universe nudges us to trade those tired daydreams for something fresh, even if that change feels like jumping off a dock without knowing how deep the water is. Picture a boat navigating canal locks—sometimes you rise, sometimes you lower, and it’s all about timing and flow. This weekend’s cosmic choreography asks: Are you ready to embrace the slow stretches and sudden shifts, or will you resist the tide of transformation? With Mercury preparing to moonwalk retrograde and Venus slipping into Scorpio’s mysterious shadows, expect the unexpected—and a dash of delicious discomfort. So, buckle up, or should I say, grab the oars? The weekend’s astrological waters are anything but calm. LEARN MORE

If your dreams aren’t manifesting, maybe it’s time for different dreams. In fact, it’s quite likely exactly time to invest in wholesale change, particularly when that change is scary or makes you anxious. Comfortable or not, the weekend looks delicious.
Friday night, the Gemini Moon sextiles retro Chiron in Aries, squares retro Saturn in Pisces, then goes on to square retro Neptune in Pisces overnight. Moon sign ruler Mercury slows in Sadge, preparing to station retrograde on Sunday. The mood is all ears… and mouth, and touch, and scent. It’s attitude and understanding; and instead of overwhelm, it’s awareness and emotional reaction to a series of pieces falling into place. Being driven into place.
The mood refers back to your own personal timing: to how it’s hitting YOU. Whether you’re sped up or slowed down, have faith in your own ability to snatch victory from the process.
Friday night, retro Uranus moves back into Venus-ruled Taurus, leaving airy Gemini for the solid ground of earthy, fixed Taurus. Venus in Scorpio then perfects its square to sign-ruler Pluto in Uranus-ruled Aquarius.
This happens as Venus moves on from the point of a yod from the Uranus-Neptune sextile, and Uranus backtracks from its trine to Pluto — still all very close in orb. Venus just moved from Libra to Scorpio, from decorum and control in plain sight to steering behind the scenes, from the shadows. Through all recent change and reversals, something vital is preserved in order to live again in another form.
Desire is piqued. The taboo is back on the table, but will it stay there? Live there? Gain new life? It depends on whether or not there’s still something to learn in all that, something fresh to mine.
One thing I can tell you: Change goes best with kindness and an awareness of your interdependence with other people and your environment.
Saturday night, the mood finds its own level of comfort as the Cancer Moon moves from trine to Venus into quincunx with Mercury and Mars in Sagittarius. Do you know how canal locks work? Boats traveling over land distances by canal navigate rising or lowering levels by going through locked chamber gates where the water levels are lowered or raised to descend or ascend. Once you become comfortable with this system, it normalizes as part of travel rather than a time-consuming nuisance. Saturday night’s mood is best handled in this way: soak up the fun and ease of the initial pleasure of flow, and be prepared to make it stretch as the inevitable “nuts and bolts of machination” make you hurry up and wait. Plan ahead for slow periods that end in a rush of (e)motion… only to give way to another period of slowing up. Satisfaction can be had if you can master the give and take.
Saturday night also holds the possibility of intense satisfaction and pleasure if you’re willing to play your cards right, willing to go with the flow till you can grab and go.
Midday Sunday, Mercury stations retrograde in Sadge, and the Cancer Moon trines the Scorpio Sun. The Cancer Moon then goes on to square retro Chiron in Aries and overnight perfects a conjunction to Jupiter and a trine to retro Saturn. As communications and senses shift inward or balk, flow emerges as a balm for consciousness. While we still may need a minute to shift between locks, there’s magic in metaphorical “muscle memory”. Move forward at the pace that meets the moment.
Sagittarius ruler Jupiter, currently in Cancer, is also fixing to station retrograde… on Tuesday. If things are’t moving like you’d like just now, keep in mind that the meaning may be prepping to shift as well. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Do you have any weekend plans?
