Former “GMA3” anchors T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach have taken their once-controversial romance to the next level — they’re officially engaged.
During Tuesday’s episode of their “Amy & TJ” podcast, Robach, 52, dropped the news: “We are sharing with all of you that we are engaged and we’ve been engaged for just about a month now.”
Robach added, “We wanted to let you all know before anybody else was able to; we’ve learned that lesson, I guess, in the past about our relationship.”
During the podcast, Holmes also revealed that Robach has been wearing her engagement ring openly at large events without anyone noticing the sparkler.

Holmes claimed that Robach has even worn her in “crowds of tens of thousands” of people, and surprisingly, “nobody said a word.”
“I was in three massive football stadiums three weekends in a row, wearing my engagement ring very proudly, very excitedly, and kept waiting for somebody to point it out or ask me, ‘Hey, what’s that?’ And it never happened,” Robach said.
She suggested that perhaps no one commented on her ring out of courtesy, saying that those close to them likely “understand what [they’ve] been through and don’t want to pry.”
“That might have been what it was,” she added.
Holmes agreed, noting, “We haven’t been keeping it a secret, but nobody asked!” He joked that their friends and family would probably kick themselves for not noticing the obvious.

According to Holmes, only about ten people, mainly immediate family members, were aware of the engagement.
He also cautioned listeners not to believe any false stories about how the proposal happened, assuring fans that they plan to share that chapter of their love story soon.
An insider previously told Us Weekly in June that Holmes had been planning the proposal for quite some time.
The same source revealed that the couple intends to keep things amicable by inviting their exes, Marilee Fiebig and Andrew Shue, to the wedding.

Speculation about Holmes and Robach’s engagement first began back in March, when Robach was spotted wearing a noticeable diamond ring on her left hand at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Later that month, Holmes fueled the rumors by casually referring to her as his “spouse” during their “I Do, Part 2” podcast episode.
At the time, Robach admitted she wasn’t in a rush to walk down the aisle. Her divorce from Shue had only been finalized in March 2023, while Holmes officially ended his marriage to Fiebig later that October.

“There is no urgency in the sense that I’m 51 years old,” she said during a September 2024 podcast episode. “I don’t need to rush into anything. I think I have rushed into everything in my life up until now. But, he knows I wanna get married, and I know he wants to get married.”
Robach and Holmes first made headlines in November 2022, when rumors of their relationship began circulating. Fast forward to February 2024, Robach shared her thoughts on what her third wedding might look like during an episode of the “Amy & T.J.” podcast.
She revealed she preferred a celebration that was simple and intimate, saying with a laugh, “Something small. Justice of the peace. Vegas.”
Holmes teased her in response, joking, “Is there a justice of the peace in Vegas? I thought only Elvis did them … That’s where you want to have it.”

Robach went on to describe her ideal ceremony as a private and romantic escape, adding, “I really would want it to be a very intimate gathering. And I would absolutely run off and elope somewhere. I think that’s probably, if I had to pick, I’d pick eloping and going to Fiji or somewhere really nice and far away.”
