Meanwhile, with fans eyeing those last-minute seats (starting at a cool £799), questions swirl about whether this farewell is truly the final bow or just another loop in the band’s ceaseless encore. Ready to decipher the stars and snag your spot before the curtain falls? LEARN MORE.

Chris Martin has revealed that he ‘needs to let go of feeling like he needs’ Coldplay, as the final Wembley Stadium tickets go on sale.

As fans will know, the band’s next UK performance of 2025 will take place on Friday, September 12 (and tickets are available on Seat Unique here).

In the countdown to the last hurrah, Chris has revealed that he is ‘getting there’ in terms of seeing a life beyond Coldplay.

As reported by The Sun, he said: “I’m trying to let go of everything, but I still love my job. I love it and maybe that’s not good. I love all of it, even all of the nonsense. I’m so grateful.

“I love our band, I love what we do, I love the songs that come through, I love where we get to go, I love the view of the world that it gives us. We see the thing that connects humans more than most people see. I love it. So maybe that means I’m attached to it.

“I need to let go of feeling like I need that and just be able to appreciate it when it’s there – not to be attached to needing it. I’d like to just want it.”

But fans aren’t convinced Coldplay will be going anywhere anytime soon, as the singer recently teased ‘138 more shows’ off the back of the UK 2025 run.

On Reddit, people have been sharing their thoughts.

“Wasn’t it at least a decade or so ago they were saying ‘we won’t be doing this forever’, hinting they were ready to break up?” one wrote. “Albums and tours later, they’re making the same noises.”

Another added, “He also said they would stop making albums after Viva La Vida in 2008. So we shall see.”

A third joked, “A conscious uncoupling, if you will…”
