Machine Gun Kelly has finally addressed his split with Megan Fox.
This comes as the rapper opens up on his secret stint in rehab in the new song, ‘Treading Water.’
Fox and MGK seemingly have quite the up-and-down relationship and it was said the pair had split at the end of 2024, before they welcomed their first daughter together.
With a bit of confusion over the baby’s name initially, Saga Blade Fox-Baker was born earlier this year as the pair are said to be co-parenting well. But up until the musician’s new album, Lost Americana, was released yesterday (8 August), much of what we have heard about the pair’s relationship has come from rumours and sources.
And on the emotional track ‘Treading Water’, the 35-year-old shares his belief that he will ‘die alone.’

He then talks about creating a broken home and admitting to deception.
“This’ll be the last time you hear me say sorry, That’ll be the last tear you waste on me crying, I broke this home,” he says, also adding: “I’ll change for our daughter, so she’s not alone.”
As it was reported, the actor found ‘messages from other women’ in MGK’s phone when they broke up, he sings: “I just ruined their holiday, and lies don’t die, they grow.
“And everything you try to hide eventually shows.”
He also goes on to say: “The beast killed the beauty; the last petal fell from the rose.
“And I loved you truly, that’s why it’s hard to let it go.”
Having gotten engaged in 2022, the pair drank a ‘few drops’ off each other’s blood ‘on occasion for ritual purposes’ and had previously referred to one another as ‘twin flames.’
MGK also addressed his time in rehab on the track as he discusses ‘pack[ing] up suitcases’ and saying he wrote ‘Treading Water’ in ‘Room Three, spending Christmas in rehabilitation.’

On New York Times’ Popcast yesterday, he explained he had been in rehab from late November to early January.
And while he didn’t give details about his stay, he added: “There’s a song called ‘Treading Water’ that’s probably the closest, maybe. It’s like the music speaks better than how I would be able to articulate it.”
On the track, the rapper went on to say that the pair have a ‘complicated relationship that’s nobody’s business’ as he slammed ‘gossip’ about them.
Their relationship widely being victim of rumours and reports is something he discussed on the podcast as the album came out, as he said: “Ironically, neither me or Meghan have said anything. There could have been zero drama and you would never know.”
MGK acknowledges there is a narrative about them that he ‘can’t control.’
