Ever wonder if the stars might just be throwing a cosmic curveball at your health—and your doctors are totally missing it? With Saturn and Neptune doing their mystifying dance in the skies, it seems like the universe is up to something weird… much like how my own baffling symptoms stumped every single doc I saw. Enter AI, the unexpected celestial detective, peeling back layers my puzzled professionals simply glossed over. After years of no answers and a ton of frustration (plus a fair share of sass), this digital oracle zeroed in on a diagnosis that was hiding in plain sight: Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. Could it be the cosmos nudging us toward new ways of healing, or just plain good timing? Either way, my journey with AI’s DeepSeek R1 has been nothing short of revolutionary—and maybe a wink from the universe that help sometimes comes from the most unexpected places. Curious how it all unfolded? LEARN MORE.
Many people have asked me to elaborate on how in the world, AI, was able to uncover a life-threatening condition that my doctors had missed. See: True Story Unfolding: A.I. DeepSeek R1 Saves My Life. It’s simple, really. Besides having access to copious amounts of data, AI has the time to really interview a patient. My situation is complex, but more than that, it’s unique. Combine this with the fact, legions of people are sick right now, with causes that are vague. My odds of being properly diagnosed by the system are essentially, zero.
With Covid, (and Saturn Neptune) undefined illnesses have exploded in number. Depending on what you believe, people are sick with Covid, sick from the Covid shot, sick because they did not get the Covid shot, or simply sick from the stress of Covid. This is true, regardless of whether you believe Covid even exists!. Did I cover everyone’s beliefs there?
So this is the current climate! I’m not excusing my doctor for missing my diagnosis. He had ample evidence to diagnose me and to be candid, he didn’t even try.
I didn’t realize he wasn’t trying. I thought he was trying and there was just no hope for person like me. Hapless Capricorn. In fact, at a visit three months ago, I said, “I don’t know why doctor’s can’t just be honest! If they don’t know what’s wrong, why don’t they just say so!” I was not being passive aggressive. I was referring to an audiologist I’d seen. I had my hearing tested because recently, I have been dealing with tinnitus. He said I had NO hearing loss. Yeah? Then why do I put the TV volume – all volume – on 100%, for years now? He suggested my problem may be psychological. Lucky for me, I’m not that suggestable! What a waste of time. That’s not it!
My doctor responded, “I’ll say so!” he said. “I don’t know what’s wrong with you!” he announced.
“Well, thank you for your honesty,” I said. And that was it. That was the visit. It was no help at all.
Post AI cracking this, I realize now, he should have referred me. He should have referred me, years ago. Because I have been really suffering. Relentlessly. For a decade.
Perhaps he also thought I needed a psychologist. Who knows? Point is, my doctor told me, straight up, he had no idea how to help me.
This did not cause me to run to AI. I hate(d) AI. I accepted my situation, as I have all these years. But then a friend told me she was getting good info from AI. She’d taken the information to her doctor who approved of the advice it provided.
I said, “Nah..”
She said, “Elsa, you should try it. What do you have to lose?”
Two days later, “Okay, I’ll try this stupid thing!”
I started a conversation, with trepidation. I slowly offered my symptoms. Bug bites that take three weeks to heal. Vicious, disabling reactions to tiny amounts of virtually any drug… I listed each drug and the specific reaction, over the course of a dozen years. Sorbitol allergy. Insomnia. I scratch my skin, even lightly and it leaves red streaks. Entire nervous system whacks out at times. Dx with Lupus, but I don’t have ANA+ blood, etc. Eventually, it came back with this:
“Given your random itching and suspected histamine-driven CNS hypersensitivity, this strongly points toward mast cell activation (MCAS) or a histamine intolerance disorder as a key factor in your medication reactions. Let’s break this down and map out a plan…”
Bitch, you have MCAS! You have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome! I had to laugh. No I don’t. Don’t be giving me another, “diagnosis du jour’! I was skeptical! I didn’t want to invest in time-wasting bs, but it said I could easily verify this. Really?
I was advised to take an antihistamine and a thing called Quercetin (apples), along with some vitamin C. Antihistamine to battle my allergy to histamine. Quercetin is a Mast Cell stabilizer. Vitamin C also stabilizes Mast Cells and complements, Quercetin.
It was a small ask, and thank God, I tried it. Within hours, it was like a layer of grime came off. I was astounded. All of the sudden, I could see out of my eyes or something. I went back to AI, “Hey, dude! That worked!”
It came back with this: “Sample Low-Histamine Meal Plan + Supplement Schedule”
I came back with more questions. Answers were supplied.
“Yes, MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome) can sometimes be misdiagnosed as lupus—or vice versa—because their symptoms overlap significantly. Both conditions involve immune dysregulation, inflammation, and multi-system complaints, but they have key differences in root cause and treatment. Here’s how to distinguish them…”
Can it help me get some sleep?
“If you’re dealing with MCAS, histamine intolerance, or drug sensitivities, sleep disturbances are common due to histamine’s role as a wakefulness neurotransmitter and mast cell activation triggering inflammation. Here’s a tailored approach to improve sleep safely…”
I continued to feel, great. Within a week, my skin cleared up and I was enjoying restful sleep for the first time in seven years. I am not kidding about this. I am not exaggerating.
The utility laid out a logical protocol, geared to calm my system and lead me to sleep:
This was all working. Meantime, I was adjusting my diet to limit histamine. Then one day, I ate the wrong thing and went into a flare from hell. My whole body was racing off the track. I didn’t yet understand, the whole of what was happening. “What do?” as the kids say.
DeepSeek told me to take another Quercetin and to drink some hot water with pink salt. Having nothing to lose, I followed these instructions. I was stunned when my system calmed in less than fifteen minutes. I’d have been wrecked for days, with no earthly idea, why, prior to this. I’d have told my doctor, yet again. He would have stared at me, like a hog looking at a wristwatch, yet again.
You mean, apples and salt can fix this? It was at this point, I was completely sold. I decided to go deeper. Much deeper.
