Jeremy Clarkson has added to his now long list of people banned from his pub, The Farmer’s Dog, with the presenter banning a fan who criticised it for being too expensive.
Cost has been a common discussion around Clarkson’s new pub, even though the presenter has revealed that he actually loses £10 every time someone dines at it.
Season four of Clarkson’s Farm features the presenter beginning his newest business venture, purchasing a pub.
The TV series focuses largely on his various obstacles to becoming a pub landlord, however those that closely follow Clarkson and his story will have already seen the outcome.
The Farmer’s Dog opened late last year, and has a bizarre rule which leads to the high prices that those eating will pay.

Clarkson decided when setting up his pub to use solely British produce.
This means that there is no Coca-Cola, no coffee, no ketchup, and due to massive cost of acquiring it in Britain, no pepper on meals.
Speaking about this in a Sunday Times column, Clarkson stated as an example of the costs that black pepper would be ten times harder to acquire using his British only rule.
He went on to say: “Now, a business-minded person would look at these costs and realise that with British-only rules in place, a hotdog was going be priced at about £45.
“But I’m not a business-minded person. So, I just filled my heart with hope, asked an AI program to work out what the average price of lunch in a Cotswolds pub is and just charged that.
“It’s possible that for every customer who comes through the door I’d lose about £10.”

Clarkson’s ban came in the form of a spat on X, with a viral tweet seeing one person saying: “Thought [Jeremy Clarkson] wanted an affordable pub for customers. £24 for pie and veg is a bit much.”
Clarkson replied asking if they’d seen the price of beef, demanding that they explain how they can make it for less – even joking they could have a job if they can.
Whilst things seemed in good fun, one reply in particular clearly irked Clarkson.
The reply read: “Dead weight for British beef is far too expensive £6.89/kg for R4L down from the record high £6.98/kg earlier in the month.
“I can’t wait till we get US beef cuts here because British beef industry is now taking the piss at those prices.”
Clearly offended by their opposition to Clarkson’s promotion of British beef and produce, the presenter simply replied saying: “You are now banned from the pub.”
The random X user joins a famous list of people banned from the pub, with Keir Starmer, James May, and Richard Hammond all banned from the pub.
As well as the prime minister and Grand Tour pair, Maddy Hornby is banned, the daughter of Jonathan Hornby, one of the people who helps run the pub.
Hornby’s daughter was barred for a similar reason after she complained about there being no tabasco in their Bloody Mary’s (though this ban is probably a bit more tongue in cheek).
