The singer showed fans a swell time at the just-concluded “American Music Awards,” and she brought back a very familiar stunt during her electrifying dance session.

Jennifer Lopez shone on stage as the host for the 2025 edition of the “American Music Awards” at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Monday night.

The 55-year-old made it rain with steamy kisses with two of her dancers as she prepared for a dance performance of her life on the “AMAs” stage, 10 years after her initial hosting gig for the show.

J.Lo oozed pure appeal in a stunning sheer bodysuit as she danced to a mix of viral songs from last year. Right at the point of the kiss, Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things” was blasting in the background.

The singer’s super cool stunt was not the only highlight of her night. J.Lo fed her fans some good news about embarking on another round of her Vegas residency. Lopez announced via her Instagram account in a post that read:

“SURPRISE JLOVERS! We’re back! I’m doing a residency in Las Vegas! Join me for Up All Night Live In Las Vegas At The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Dec 30 – Jan 3, & select dates in March!”

She announced to her fans that tickets would be available for purchase starting June 6. To generate excitement, she revealed a futuristic poster in which she is giving a smize for the camera, offering a sneak peek of what fans can look forward to.

Perhaps this is payback for the actress’ missed opportunity to grab a kiss with Madonna over two decades ago at the 2003 “MTV Video Music Awards.”

As noted by PEOPLE, while promoting her movie project at the time, Lopez revealed that she was initially meant to perform alongside the “Like A Prayer” singer at the show. 

Unfortunately, due to work commitments in Canada, she missed out on the fun, leading to Christina Aguilera stepping in. Lopez expressed her admiration for Madonna, stating she has always been a huge fan of the pop icon.

The 2003 VMAs is famously remembered for Madonna’s performance with Britney Spears and Aguilera, during which she kissed both artists.

Lopez put her all into the performance, so much so that she ended up with a nose injury right in rehearsals.

“I had to get stitches. It was fine,” she says. “A few of us have gotten hurt in rehearsals. We’re doing a very high-energy athletic number, so it’s, I guess, bound to happen,” the actress noted, stressing what the nature of her job exposes her to.

Earlier in the month, she shared a visual of a cut on her nose on her Instagram Story, followed by another image of her holding an ice pack over the bruise.

She then shared another slide expressing gratitude to her physician, Dr. Diamond, for stitching her up, adding, “A week later and a whole lotta ice, I’m good as new.”

The mother-of-two’s summer has definitely started with a bang. As noted by The Blast, she expressed her intentions to celebrate “being happy and free.” Aside from her stellar hosting gig, Lopez is gearing up to headline the World Pride Music Festival from June 6 to 7.

She will also be touring Europe and Asia as part of the “Up All Night: Live in 2025” tour in July. The World Pride Music Festival also featured other stars like Paris Hilton, Tinashe, Rita Ora, Galantis, and Marina. 

The actress expressed her excitement about working on her Pride performance and fine-tuning the tour details. J.Lo 2.0 comes a few months after she ended her marriage to director and actor Ben Affleck. 

As she gears up for her busy summer, Lopez also has plans to embrace her single life enthusiastically, feeling content and excited about her new life.

She views this as a perfect opportunity to celebrate freedom and happiness, aiming to engage audiences by making them sing and dance at her upcoming concert at Pride. 

J.Lo’s kids will not be left out of the fun. She plans to include her 17-year-old twins, Emme and Max, in her activities, particularly at the Pride event, cherishing their special bond. However, the actress’s slate with her ex-husband is not entirely clean.

The estranged couple are reportedly still at odds over the sale of their Beverly Hills mansion, which they bought for $60.8 million in May 2023 after getting married. 

They initially listed the property for $68 million in July, but as it has been on the market for nearly a year, there is speculation that the price is too high.
