So, here’s a little cosmic curiosity for you: Mercury’s doing that perennial dance of retrograde confusion, and suddenly our social feeds look like a reality show without a script. Enter Justin Bieber, who decided to sprinkle some TLC comments on Chris Brown’s recent—and kinda messy—Instagram flex celebrating his release on a $6.7 million bail. Not the smoothest move, right? Ever since Chris Brown got charged with grievous bodily harm after an alleged nightclub dust-up in London, things have been awkward at best—and Justin’s “welcome home” like totally lit the fuse on a backfire of public backlash. With their collabs dating back to 2011, you could call them in sync, but this latest social media cameo feels more like a cosmic clash than harmony. Is Bieber channeling his inner pea-ceeker or just fumbling under the stars today? Either way, the internet’s not exactly vibing with his choice to stand by Chris right now… and honestly? Neither am I. Buckle up, because this ride is anything but chill. LEARN MORE.

Justin Bieber’s Chris Brown Comment Sparks Backlash

Following the backlash over his strange post about Hailey Bieber’s Vogue cover, it’s been a rough few days in the public eye for Justin Bieber. And now, his latest social media move has stirred up even more controversy.

In case you missed it, on May 15, Chris Brown was arrested in the UK and charged with grievous bodily harm in connection with an alleged attack that took place in a London nightclub in 2023. After spending nearly a week in custody, the singer was released on $6.7 million bail on Wednesday, giving him the freedom to perform his upcoming world tour, which is scheduled to begin on June 8.

Yesterday, the singer celebrated his release on Instagram, posting a photo of himself disembarking a private jet with the caption: “Cook, remain humble. ❤️” Thousands of fans took to the comments, and among them was none other than Justin Bieber, who both liked the post and commented: “welcome home.”

For context, Justin and Chris have a pretty long history as collaborators. Way back in 2011, they worked together on the song “Next To You” from Chris’s F.A.M.E. album. They collaborated again in 2019 on a track called “Don’t Check On Me.”

Justin has yet to address the backlash to his comment, but we’ll be sure to let you know if he does.
