Actress-turned-reality star Lisa Rinna spent several years in front of the camera on Bravo’s wildly popular series “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Throughout her run on the show, the mother of two and “Days of Our Lives” star was involved in quite a few dramatic moments.
The chaos and constant conflict between Rinna and her co-stars did impact the show, ultimately leading Rinna and the network to go in different directions after spending eight years together.
Although the reality star shared how grateful she was for the show when she announced her departure, Lisa Rinna recently revealed there’s one thing she wishes she could’ve done differently before she closed the door on that chapter in her life.

Lisa Rinna wishes she quit RHOBH at the reunion instead of quitting later that night when she got home. That’s interesting because Andy Cohen said in his book, ‘The Daddy Diaries,’ that Lisa Rinna quit the show right after the reunion but then immediately backtracked & changed… pic.twitter.com/46b1vSFC2D

During an episode of Rinna’s new podcast with her partner Harry Hamlin, the reality star spent the premiere discussing what her time on the Bravo show was really like. After sharing details about her blow-up with Kim Richards in Amsterdam or her beef with Lisa Vanderpump, Rinna began speaking about her final season.
According to her, she almost resigned during the season 12 reunion, which aired on television in October 2022. “I wish I would’ve now that I look back on it,” Rinna said.
She later admitted that she quit the show after sending an email to the producers once the reunion finished filming; however, that wasn’t her initial plan. “I was going to do it on camera,” she said. “And I wish I would’ve done that.”

Rinna told her husband during their podcast that had she been “brave enough” to follow through with her plan, she would’ve let Andy Cohen and her co-stars know how much she enjoyed the eight years she spent on the show during the reunion taping. However, she explained that the fear of missing out and possibly changing her mind stopped her.

Rinna first joined “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” during the show’s fifth season. Instantly upon joining the group, the television personality had conflicts with stars like Brandi Glanville, Yolanda Hadid, Richards, and Vanderpump.
The reality star’s later years on the show became a bit more challenging after she began receiving backlash from the show’s audience on social media.
“Some of the most horrible things I’ve ever seen in print, and it’s a reality show! It’s a stupid show! I thought: ‘It’s time to go.’ I’m not sure how much longer that can exist in the zeitgeist,” she said.

After deciding she’d had enough of the drama, the notorious Bravo villain emailed her producers to notify them of her plans to depart the show. A copy of her message was showcased during a later episode of “RHOBH.”
“I will not be renewing my contract, and I will not be coming back to ‘RHOBH.’ Thank you so much for [eight] years,” Rinna’s email read. “All the best, Lisa.”

Rinna shared her thoughts about Bravo releasing a copy of her email to the world, proving that she voluntarily left the show rather than letting the rumors that she had been fired continue to circulate. “I thought, ‘Wow, look at that,'” she said during an interview with Cosmopolitan.
“Because, of course, everyone thought I’d been fired. But no, I made that decision. I sent text messages to the rest of the people. I sent an email to the head of Bravo, but I sent text messages to everybody else,” she continued.
Rinna defended her decision to quit the series in 2022, calling it the “right decision.”
“And this show has a way of always coming around and them showing that was a moment of them coming around and doing the right thing, I think,” she said.
Now that Rinna has spent some time away from Bravo cameras, the reality star has gotten back into modeling and acting, snagging roles in Lifetime films and Ryan Murphy television productions.
Many have wondered if Rinna would ever return to the series, considering a few of her good friends, including Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne, are still involved with the production. However, during a recent interview, Rinna revealed she’d never return to the show before likening it to a sinking ship.
“We all know it’s the f-cking ‘Titanic,'” she said.
Rinna blasted the show for “always looking to save it,” referring to the rumors that production has been courting Vanderpump for a massive return.
“Because who else?” Rinna asked out loud before saying Bravo executives know she’s “not going back.”

Despite her dramatic comments about “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Rinna apparently has no problem spending time with Bravo’s head honcho, Cohen. During a recent appearance on his radio show, “Andy Cohen Live,” the “Watch What Happens Live” host questioned Rinna about her shady comments about the show.
“You mouth off,” Cohen joked before questioning why Rinna would make those remarks about the series, considering she’s “so moved past the show [and] doing your own thing.”
“I’m sorry I hurt your feelings,” Rinna replied. “I [used the wrong] words.”
By the end of their conversation, though, Rinna retracted her apology and told Cohen that she meant what she said. “I meant to say ‘Titanic,’ and I said it, and I’m sorry I hurt your feelings. Let’s move on.”
