Astrologers in general, don’t have a great track record when it comes to predicting. Now I’m sorry, but based on decades in this field, I would personally, never go to an astrologer to have them predict something. The reasons why astrologers miss their predictions are many.
The number one reason astrologers miss their predictions has to be their personal bias. Their wishful thinking. I’m talking about elections and such, but hell! Those are like 50/50 and they still miss! Also, trends. The next transit is always going to be some panacea and it never is.
The problem is even worse, when an astrologer makes a prediction for a client. Many times, it’s because the astrologer is kind and their mind bends to please the client.
You generally have a good idea what the client wants. Most people will not tell someone something they don’t want to hear. If you won’t or if you can’t let the chart speak, your odds of getting something wrong are very high.
Projection is also a problem, especially with people just getting in this field. A person’s ex has xyz in their chart and the beginner thinks everyone with that signature is (like) their ex. It’s muddy.
I’m careful about making predictions, because people have free will, and actions affect outcomes. It’s also against my religion, as what happens is ultimately up to God. But there are some things that come very clear, through a combinations of factors.
In some cases, it’s experience. I worked with so many people for so many years, odds of this or that, present themselves. This allows me to tell a person what I expect to happen, with a pretty high degree of certainty. This is particularly true when I’ve worked with someone for awhile. I understand their character and the patterns that repeat in their life over time.
I’m not talking about pathological patterns. I’m talking quirky things, tied to the individual. These things are often good rather than bad.
This last point is somewhat ethereal, but it’s well worth mentioning. If you misuse astrology or anything similar, I’m pretty sure it will bite you back, hard. We’re just not supposed to use our gifts to harm people.
Also, an egomaniac astrologer is danger. I would never hire the King or Queen of astrology! These types put themselves in the center, when the conversation needs to be about you.
Pulling this together, for an astrologer to make accurate predictions, they have to have a clear channel. That means, they’re able to set aside there bias, their preferences and the client’s preferences, and just read the chart. They also need the courage and the ability to communicate, with a a good degree of precision. Healthy boundaries are imperative.
This job has gotten easier, now that so many people know at least some astrology. This allows me to explain, exactly where and how I am getting the information, I offer. I show my work, basically. This also helps the client better understand their chart (and themselves). They leave with solid info, rather than a ball of foggy promises.
If you want to get better results from astrology, work on yourself. This stuff has to come through you and that won’t happen when you have any agenda, outside of serving the client.
