Zendaya first sparked engagement rumors on Sunday while walking the Golden Globes red carpet wearing a diamond ring on her left hand. Multiple outlets, including People and TMZ, subsequently confirmed the speculation.
An insider told People, “He’s always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one. They have something very special.”
And in a new Patreon post, Tom’s father, Dominic Holland, explained all of the efforts that went into the proposal.

“Tom, as you know by now, was very incredibly well prepared,” Dominic said, according to People. “He had purchased a ring.” He also said Tom had talked to his future father-in-law before popping the question.
“He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter,” Dominic shared. “Tom had everything planned out… When, where, how, what to say, what to wear.”
Although he didn’t share the exact details of the engagement or when they plan to tie the knot, he said that when they do wed, he’s “completely confident they will make a successful union.”
