Things have been a bit chaotic around here lately, and let me tell you, chaos isn’t exactly my favorite flavor of ice cream. Between dealing with the passing of my mother-in-law and the unpredictable nature of Mutable T-Squares (which sounds fancy but mostly just means things are topsy-turvy), I feel like I’m juggling flaming swords while riding a unicycle… blindfolded! You ever had one of those weeks where every little thing seems to go haywire? Like when your newsletter provider springs a surprise price hike after a solid 15 years together? Thanks, but no thanks! Now I’m knee-deep in research to find a new host, learning a whole new editor, and building a signup page from scratch. Fun times!
Adding to the merry-go-round, I recently had to adjust to a new insurance policy after nearly 25 years with the same one—talk about a wrench thrown into the works! My astrology software decided to take a holiday break over Christmas—you know, when I really needed it—because what’s the point of being an astrologer without the actual tools to do astrology? Spoiler alert: there really isn’t one. And just when you think you’ve hit rock bottom, medical bills come in saying you’re “seriously overdue” when you owe nothing!
At this point, if you’ve got Mutable planets between 10-29, I’m sure you’re nodding along in solidarity. Let’s dive in and unpack this whirlwind of stupid issues together, while maybe sharing a chuckle or two along the way. Oh, and hey, one silver lining? I’ve had no time to read the news. Hallelujah!
Things aren’t normal around here. It’s due to my mother-in-law’s death in part, but this chaos is tied the the Mutable T-Squares that have been active for a couple of months. It’s all stupid stuff but it’s a lot of it and each issue has taken a lot of energy.
First, my newsletter provider raised their priced to a shocking level. I had to switch after fifteen years with the same service. It took time and research to chose where to go… learning curve with their editor, build the new sign up page, etc.
Meantime, my insurance changed – I have had the same policy since 1991! Nearly 25 years. I am still adapting to this.
My astrology program went south, Christmas week. Very hard to work as an astrologer without an astrology program! I needed help from the seller to get it going and hey! Christmas! It’s not going to be fast!
I know a good number of people aren’t getting the newsletter. If it’s not in your spam, it’s probably going into the void… and will continue to do so. I realize it’s the provider’s job to fix this, but they are not going to and I’m good a good guess as to why. I suspect they are using an foreign service. Some providers block entire countries. Proton mail is one of them.
This means, if you want to get the letter, you’d have to get a gmail or yahoo email and forward it. I’m sorry, but the world is changing.
Same with blog notices. I see 25 people who have subbed to get the blog posts, but they did not confirm. Either the notice to confirm is in your spam, or you have one of the email providers who block mail that may originate from the other side of the world.
I think the powers that be just want everyone on the large platforms. Nothing new there! Point is, I can’t just “switch”. Businesses are consolidating all around us and it’s just not like it was. These email providers don’t even have the courtesy to send a bounce notice back!
There are dozens of other little stupidities, like my doctor bill that says I am “seriously overdue” when I owe nothing. I think they send thousands of these things in error, because it’s taken me all day to get through to them.
I have also had a lot of calls, especially for a holiday period. No one needs to ask why that is! But my clients are always the priority, second to my husband. My husband is doing well. He’s contacting distant family to inform them his mother has passed and tell them of a memorial service he’s planning out of state. He’s calm in this process, it seems to be helping to carry him through these times, but he is utterly out-of-pocket and I need to carry everything else.
This is my explanation for why I’ve been scarce. It’s impossible to think deeply with a seemingly endless list of issues lie in front of you. But we’re good. I actually feel really good. The trick now is the wrap up all this stuff before tax season hits. I know it’s always something, but this is something+++.
If you have planets between 10-29 Mutable, I’m sure you can relate!
One upside, I have no time to read the news. Halleluiah!
