Ever found yourself caught in the cosmic comedy of errors that is retrograde season? Well, strap in because we’re diving into a week that promises a celestial plot twist worthy of a blockbuster script! Just when you thought Mercury’s retro shenanigans were behind us, it’s back, speeding on ahead, and creating quite the celestial traffic jam, especially as it squares off with Saturn and retro Jupiter. If you’ve been feeling like time’s been playing tricks on you—either rushing ahead or dragging its feet—you’re not alone! This week, the universe is bringing us all together in a cosmic blend of communication hiccups and unexpected turns. But here’s the kicker: just because it’s complicated doesn’t mean we can’t navigate through the chaos with a bit of humor and grace. So, let’s explore how we can turn these cosmic challenges into opportunities for connection and growth. Ready or not, the stars are lining up—buckle up! LEARN MORE.
Back before Mercury went retrograde in Sagittarius last month, it squared stationing Saturn then went on to oppose retro Jupiter a week later. Now that Mercury is direct and up to speed, Saturn and retro Jupiter perfect a square of their own (exact late Tuesday), and Mercury comes up to meet them in a t-square (exact on Thursday).
Communication and data challenges had a long time to set up and percolate over the last month and a half. Time felt either too fast or two slow many times over the course of this period, AND delays or rushes led to missed connections and skewed plans. This week, attitudes and communications are flavored by it all coming together. Unfortunately, the “coming together” part is not simple or smooth. BUT… it doesn’t have to be a problem either. Leave room to stabilize the weird or awkward.
Mercury and Jupiter in Sagittarius and Gemini have an uncomfortable relationship. Mutual reception, each in the other’s sign, is less helpful in this situation than it might be in others. Both are considered debilitated here. So Saturn in Pisces in square to both is the stronger player. What is the answer, the implication? We’ve got a t-square and plenty of tension in sensing and relating, communications and thought. We can give ourselves and others time and respect. We can level our relating and connect on a spiritually homogenous field. We can choose to see the divinity in ourselves match up to the divinity in others and go zen on the thing. We can blur out the details and eschew our propensity to judge harshly as we brainstorm another narrative.
All day Monday we have a balanced Libra Moon mood as Libra-ruler Venus in Aquarius sextiles retro Chiron in Aries through the evening. When we know better, we do better, and we make better choices. The Libra Moon sextiles Mercury then goes on to trine Jupiter. Get into that groove of thoughtful balance and look for the opportunity to level up your approach to the whole shebang. Get out ahead of any impending issues early; catch up or get ahead of any socializing or messaging you’re short on. If you make your words sweet, they’ll be delicious if you have to eat them later.
Early Tuesday, the Libra Moon opposes retro Chiron then trines Venus. This is great problem solving energy. It lends an ability to wrangle things that might have looked impossible before. Handle what comes at your with positivity and verve, as there’s every reason to expect that whether or not you succeed (ultimate outcomes are often uncertain) there’s value to be had in the doing. In fact, all potential action is powerful right now as retro Leo Mars winds up Pluto in opposition; and character development matters, as does enrichment and enjoyment. Problem solve, yes! But also enjoy yourself when pleasure rolls around on its own. We can still play. Don’t forget to play. Play is powerful too!
Aquarius-ruler Venus heads into square with retro Uranus in Taurus, exact late Friday. There we have it again, mutual reception in tense aspect. However, if you’re open to something new, exciting, open to change and chance, this could be the pleasant shock that excites and titillates! Your best bet is to use the Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn challenge to open your mind and spirit so the Venus-Uranus square can bring a blast of fresh air and novel refinement your way. This is particularly applicable to our yearning for larger scale, humanitarian advancements. Peace on earth, good will to all comes at a cost, but sometimes it’s a cost we can pay.
And here’s a thing: If you get a weird gift, an unexpected present or theoretical offer? It might throw you off your game momentarily. So that’s a heads up. But remember, shock is temporary. Consider what good use you can put it to; roll with the punches, and go zen on the situation/interaction.
Wednesday morning, the Scorpio Moon squares Pluto then goes on to square retro Mars, another tense t-square and in fixed signs. Folks are likely to have a few expectations of how things should go, and they may have goals that don’t jibe with the general mood. There may be a hitch in the action. The mood is watery, intense, but ultimately creative, so look for complexity and draw out the FUN in the situation. Rise like a phoenix, and you’ll find your target as the Moon moves through a sextile to the solid Capricorn Sun. Hang in there till you’ve got your coffee in hand. Everything will settle and you’ll find your cruising point.
Thursday’s Scorpio Moon trines Pisces Saturn in the morning, ballast and flow; groove collaboratively. The early mood can last if you’re intentional and creative. It’s okay to lean into having things your way if you do it with a flourish… mesmerizing. By the end of the day, however, the Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn t-square culminates as the Scorpio Moon forms a t-square with the Venus-Uranus square. How we think, understand, and express is under stress, as is what we want and what we value. Our needs are deep, powerful, and explosive — sharp, and at odds with what we desire. We feel this way, and so do others. Even if we are unfussed, we may find ourselves on the receiving end of a tantrum or misunderstanding.
Keep it in mind that retro Mars is opposing Pluto and do your best to defuse any situation that seems even remotely prone to violence. Shhhhh. Some things don’t need to be said. Some things don’t require a response or reaction. Also, just because these influences look rough on paper, doesn’t mean they’ll be rough on YOU. Everything is a matter of perspective, and perspective is caught up in all this. So what do we do? We try to limit the scale on which we react. Life’s what you make it! What if there’s a blowup or blowout… but then it all amounts to a laugh in time. Mercury-Jupiter can be big laughs. Add Pisces for a divine joke! Don’t wind yourself around the axle unless that’s where you love to be. Everything sorts out in time. Give yourself time, space, and perspective.
Friday morning’s Scorpio Moon trines Neptune in Pisces, so put your oars in the water and steer toward an ideal day. When the Moon moves to fiery Sagittarius, it sextiles Pluto then heads into trine with retro Mars by night. There’s so much going on this week that it might seem like chaos, but if you squint it’s interrelated in magical margins. Friday night pulls it all back together, and we’re good to go — go big and FAR. Look for the line through all the plot points; your purpose is lurking there.
