In this day and age, where our inboxes are overflowing with messages, is it really any surprise that a few vital gems might get lost in the spam pile? Well, I recently made the leap to a shiny new newsletter utility, but here’s the scoop: engagement seems to have taken a nosedive, with a whopping twenty percent drop in open rates! While holiday distractions can be part of the mix, I can’t help but wonder—are my emails heading straight to the digital abyss of spam? Yikes! If you’d like to stay in the loop—after all, who doesn’t want their astrological forecast?—make sure to whitelist my email, or check your spam folder, just in case my cosmic musings got swept under the rug. And, oh, a little birdie told me that at least one of you didn’t quite make the move to this new form—don’t hesitate to resubscribe! Curious about what all the fuss is about? I’ve switched to the new newsletter utility and see the engagement has dropped. The percentage of “opens” of my letters are extremely consistent, over the years. It’s off about twenty percent. Holiday aside, this tells me the letter was likely sent to spam in some cases.
If you do want to receive the letters, please whitelist “[email protected]”.
You may also want to check your spam for yesterday’s letter.
Edit to add… I am aware at least one subscriber was not moved over. If you do not find the letter in your spam, you may have to resub. This is the new form, which looks like the old form, but isn’t!
Thanks!
