Astrology might be mumbling something about Mercury in retrograde causing some unexpected twists, but tonight at the Emmys, one thing’s clear: the stars are aligning for some surprises on the small screen. While most folks pegged The Pitt to walk away with the drama crown and The Studio to snag the comedy gold, Seth Rogen shaking off five past near-misses to finally clutch his first Emmy? That’s some celestial kismet if I ever saw it. And let’s be honest—doesn’t The Bear really deserve a drama nod? But here we are, comedy or not, it’s stirring up buzz. So grab your snacks, because as the night unfolds, winners are popping up faster than you can check your horoscope—and trust me, you don’t want to miss a beat. Curious about who’s reigning supreme so far? Well, stick around—the cosmic roll call is just getting started. LEARN MORE
Tonight is the Emmy Awards, and as usual, we’re going to be keeping you all up to date over all the winners as the night goes on. Going into the soiree, many predicted that The Pitt would dominate the drama categories (last year’s winner, Shogun, didn’t air a season this year), while The Studio would dominate the top choices from the last few years, Hacks and The Bear (which – for some reason – is still considered a comedy even if I’d wager it actually belongs in the best drama category. While it’s too early to see if Hacks will win the top award for comedy series, its lead actress took home her fourth win for the show, having previously won in 2021, 2022, and 2024. However, The Studio also took home a major award of its own, with Seth Rogen winning best lead actor in a comedy. This is his first Emmy, having previously been nominated five times. It may not be his own Emmy tonight, with him up for an additional three awards.
